Hi guys,
Our Exchange server filters junk mail in to the "Junk E-Mail" folder. However, my pocket PC still downloads it (which is obviously a waste of GPRS, and really annoying as I get it so often).
Is there a way to stop it downloading mail if its been moved to Junk?

Why dont't you try a mail client with filters? Fleximail for example...

Have you selected which specific folders you wish to download? On your TyTN, start the mail client, and select
Menu... Tools... Manage Folders...
You can select or deselect to your heart's content...

i believe the junk-mail filters are an outlook plugin, therefore the rules that are used to filter junk mail are client side.
i too, find this annoying. worse yet is if you have a fat outlook client running, the junk-mail makes it to your junk mail folder, yet the update on the wm5 device is SLOOOOOOW as the client side "junk filter" rules don't trigger a sync.

Does it just download effectively the "headers" initially, or the full message?
Alternatively can you run something like "Mailwasher" on the TnTN to do the filtering before using Outlook?

Well the mail filtering is actually done server side by Exchange. There are options on the exchange server to move anything over a certain score straight to the Junk Mail folder. So my PPC will download the mail as if it's in my inbox, but when I login to web-mail, its actually in Junk.
