wired headset problem or phone problem?

the wired headset suddenly only gives sound on the right and nothing on the left. I changed to a new one and the same thing happened, wats wrong?

first you must check the ring on the head set jack, whether it consists of 2 or three rings. it should be three rings. if it still happens, maybe it is your jack socket has broken.. i remember that in this forum there is someone named fluffcat, he sell the hardwares.. he able to help you.

im not sure whether it is the headset's problem because other headsets react the same. Is it possible that it has some problme inside the system? Though, i haven't tested my headset in other ppcs...
