WESTTEK Clearvue and WM5

I seem like the only one that uses this buut here we go...
I've used this suite of tools on pocketpc's and smart phones for years. and alsoways have good results.

but with my Uni and WM5 the JETCET app has become flacky. it only seems to print after a softreset.

i've using it on an HP460wbt bluetooth printer i tried the IPP option but it was a complete waste of time.



any help?

Did you manage to get ClearVue PDF v3.xx to install on your Universal which comes with the default PDF 2.xx?

I can't. If yes, how do you manage to get rid of the default v2.xx PDF? Is the default v2.xx exists as a cab file in the EXTROM?

i use pro so the version 3 installs fine. i just move the old pdf into temp after and ignore it. maybe move it before would help?

OK, I've a HP 450CBi bluetooth printer

I'll install WESTTEK CLEARVUE3 SUITE PRO v3.0.543 and JETCET PRINT v4.1.422 and test it on my printer

I don't understand. Could you elaborate? What happens after you soft reset or hard reset, would the old v2.xx returns?

Problems!!!

I tried installing CLEARVUE SUITE PRO trial to my SD card but it fails to detect the SD card's presence

I then continue the installation but it fails to install the printer cab

Nothing was installed


Any help?

OK, I managed to install the program on my PPC. :D

The reason is because of the failed installation from my PC the cab files are made available on my PPC.

Unfortunately the various modules took up a large chunk of my storage memory even though I installed them to my PPC - left with about 3.2MB :(

However, I'll test it out tonight. I hope that my printer ink has not dried up

i install jetcet_41_ppc_v4[1].1.422 which should be part of clearvue pro 3 of SD card.

i use a bluetooth HP460 printer

WHEN it prints, the output is quite good on WM5. however, that reliabilty of getting it to print is ridiculously unpredictible. i ssem to have to softreset, or refresh the boothtooth paring. to get it to print without a 'cannot find printer error', and cannot create printer context[14]'.

paradoxically the same previos version of JETCET 4.0 and clearvue 3.xxx running on a H4350 works fine.

additionally, the configuration only allow COM8 in the bluetooth binds, although it nets COM6 should be used.

i removed all other buetoth apps, hard reset and restore many times.
nothing else i know of prints all office docs. printboyce isn't enough.

i don't want to swap the ROM as i really need QTEK's A2DP.

could i se the H4350 and a printserver of sort? there is no bluetooth file transfer services :(


of coruse i bought the 80211.b card for the printer and that can't even see the printer at all... god i'm hating computers.

Sorry, took so long to test

Just started to test and realized my black ink has dried up

Got the error "unable to create printer context[14]" so did a soft reset but could not get it to print

I've set my HP 450CBi to COM:8 and my QTEK 9000 to COM:8 as well but it still fails to print by prompting the above error

i get a similar error. bu tthe h4350 works fine at the same time... if only it would be a printer server... i sldo got an IPP card for the printer doesn't work at all with anything :( stupid technology only 90% operative!

well i am completely disillusioned. on my h3450 (2003SE) the buetooth function all work fine. the version 3 pro clearvie apps for WM5 are flacky, and oonly seem to print immedialtely after a soft reset. not useful if you need to download an attacdhment and print it out on a con call. i've used this product over the years on ipaq, and smartphone and it has been great this is a major flaw. we need this fixed. i have now know alternatives. printboyce is too primative (:

has anyone evr gpt a repsponse from westtek support? i really need a working app! if even i could use the 3450 and a print server.

i stripped the uni down to hard reset and onluy installed this app. is 'seemed' been to have been behaved, but i think i was rushed.. but once i added apps on top it got more unstable... this may be the best diagnostic path...
