Tornado (SP5) doesn't upgrade (old version stays)

I have tried numerous times to load the i-mate_SP5_WWE_2.5.331.2.exe
rom. But I still haven't been succesful. :(

Any help is greatly appreciated! :D

Here are my specs:

On the System Information screen:
- ROM Version 1.0.4.0
- Operator Version 1.5.331.4

On the About screen:
- OS 5.1.7.0 (Build 14402.1.1.0)
- Radio Version 4.0.13.25_01.14.00
- RIL Version 2.002
- ROM Update Version: <empty>
- Operator: 5.1.70.14402
- Manfucterer: 5.1.70.14402
- Microsoft: 5.1.70.14402
- Language: 5.1.70.14402
- File System: 5.1.70.14402

Bootloader version: IPL 2.00 SPL 2.00.0008

The i-mate_SP5_WWE_2.5.331.2.exe installs succesfully according to the installer, but when it reaches 100% the device reboots, then boots up starts the cold boot config, reboots and I have a new clean OS, but with the old versions (see above).

Does anyone have any clue how to properly upgrade my rom?
I tried several things:
- Upgrade from the bootloader (power on while holding camera button)
- Pull out the battery when the installation is done

All with the same results. :(
