I am using ROM version 3.17.03, May 15th 2003 Radio A.33.02 and Protocol version 1.3.3.
Does anyone know if there is a setting in the software anywhere which cuts off the mic/earpiece? The plug for a hands-free headset stilll lets the user operate the unit.
I have had a screen replaced and ever since, the mic/ear piece simply doesn't work. It has been back to the repairer numerous times but he can't figure out how to get them working again and I am beginning to suspect that he didn't accidentally disconnect anything which he didnt re-connect while putting the screen in.
Curiously enough, in the blue ribbon bar at the top of the screen there IS what looks like a broken top half of a cocktail glass with an X beside it, - next to a speaker-like icon??? But this may just indicate lack of service and when I switch to PHONE, the volume control comes up as working normally. I suppose this might just mean that the phone rings as opposed to vibrates, which it does, whether on (no) speaker/mic or hands free headset.
The unit is called a PW10A1 (SX-56)
