I loaded the 1.34 cingular rom, and it's been 3 days now with no screen alignment issue on a Trion HT626, which was plagued with alignment issues prior to updating the rom. Just last weekend, I must have realigned the screen almost 20 times. Now nothing. I tried to make the device really hot using Wifi and Streaming Video.
This is really weird, cause I my reseller has already told me that a replacement HT635 is waiting for me. Now what?
Is anyone else experiencing this?

hmmm... more support to the theory that there is also a software related alignment issue...

This is day 4 and I have soft reset the device about 15 times (for installation, and crashes related to buggy software), surfed all day on it using both Opera and IE, wrote a few emails, played bubble breaker (very intense tapping all over), and the alignment is still perfect. All this is back and forth portrait and landscape.
I think those who have the alignment issue, should upgrade to the cingular rom 1.34 and see if the problem goes away. It's the only way we'll know for sure.

Okay, so I was messing around with different settings of Pocket Hack Master, and I blew my unit up. So I had to hard reset.
Now I figured, since I am hard resetting, I might as well go back to my original rom, Dopod, and see if the alignment issue comes up again. If it does, then I am convinced it is software related.
I also upgraded to the latest radio 1.16 using asukal's hack.
If within the next 48 hours, I don't see an alignment issue the unit is going back because I know it's hardware. If I do see one then I am keeping it and putting the cingular rom back on.
vua777, let's see how you fare against the cingular rom.
