when you boot up it will give you an IPL/SPL... if its a G4 your phone will have .0001 at the end of it, example IPL 2.26.0001 SPL 2.26.0001.. a G3 will not have those, example IPL 2.26

now a better question, what is the difference between G4 and G3 units?

what's funny is that before i upgraded my ROM to the current 2.26, i could have sworn i would always see a .0001 attached to the first and second line. After the upgrade, it doesn't show like that anymore.

i believe that if you have any kind of .0000 or .0001 etc that its a G4, none of the G3's have that..

Excuse me if in wrong section, but I have a QTEK S200 (Prophet) with the following bootsplash data:

IPL 2.09
SPL 2.09.0000
GSM 02.07.20
OS 2.9.7.29

I guess it's a G3 version, as IPL doesn't have any trailing zeroes, but could you please confirm that ?
I have a bootsplash lockup problem with the sonar single pulse noise, and afaik the first thing to know is the "G" level.
