HOW TO UPGRADE SPV M3000 (without bricking)

hey folks. i think i need to reflash my spv m3000 because it keeps restarting and the phone is reaaaly sluggish..

IPL 1.09
SPL 1.09
GSM 01.04.10
OS 1.9.1.1

This is what i have got. i have no clue whatsoever if this rom is good or not but it doesn;t seem to do the trick for me..

i have be reading for some weeks but i am still unsure wether my phone is CID locked or not. or what rom should or can i use.

i still don;t understand the G3 G4 difference and why everybody talks about 2.xx spl and ipl and i have 1.09....



could anybody please translate all this technical details into english? i have no intention of bricking the device..so i am folowing the advice in all tutorials "if u n't know what you are doing ..ask first"


i have some more questions:

are the new roms more stable or at least faster? because this one keeps restarting randomly.

cand somebody really give me some step by step information on what i need to do?

how can i back up this original firmware..so if the upgrade doesn't work i would still be able to reflash it back


i am mentioning that the phone was sim locked and i uset lokiwiz tool to unlock it.

I would use this one, it's safe, original.

I thought you mentioned you unlocked it.

The ROM is stable, all the posts like Beta, Unhappyhousewife etc. have thgis one as basis.

About your Backup, to be honest I don't have clue because I never had or wanted to go back.

ok. my main concern is about the 1.xx spl and ipl comaptibility. all i could find aroundhere was said about 2.xx

i am afraid to upgrade untill i know for sure what my 1.xx means in practical terms

did u have 1.xx before upgrading?

i will have to cid unlock the devicei first using lokiwiz 2

then i will be able to use the rom u suggested?
