hi guys
i bought a new i mate kjam , rom was 2.16 and radio was 2.25
i installed few programs on it
strangly
when the light turns off , it goes into DEEP SLEEP ,
i mean it never responds , even when u call it from another phone , the other phone shows it is connected , but the i mate doesn't ring or even blink .
i installed
- sms dr notification
- smart key with omap overclocking set on 240
- sunnysoft backup manager
- resco explorer 5.4
- total commander
and ETEN DIALER WITH SMARTDIAL

Strange...I would advice you to do a hard-reset, then try if it functions like it should and after every installation of a program try if it still functions like it should, if not, then you will know what program causes the problem.

well... to be honest
this is exactly what i did yesterday
but in my rush after the CLEAR STORAGE , and after i used the phone for one of the longest phone call in my life ( 97 min ) , i installed those programs , could it be a hardware thing?
if u want 2 advice me , which rom should i upgrade to ? i don't need it just to be fast , but stable , with important extended rom components only , no pre-fixed settings for the GPRS and MMS , and finally i can use my attached ( arabic ) keyboard with it ?

Hhmm...strange issue we got here.
Unfortunately I do not have any experience with other keyboard layout's.
So the best is wait to someone that has some experience with it to read this and can help you out. In the meanwhile, I will search the forum for you, I have about 20 minutes before my girlfriend comes home...let me see what I can find for you.
If you want to upgrade, take on of my Roms (read the feedback from other members), it's fast, it's stable and you will love it (I hope) ;)

I think it is not a hardware thing, I made a phone call for about 4 hours (!!!), with my girl that lives about 3 kilomteres away ( :D ), so I think not that it is hardware related.
