Just noticed that my numerous bookmarks and favorites for threads here are now working! No more "404" errors that I can report !!!!
I'm opening up all kinds of threads and posts here willy nilly and all appear to once again be functioning.
Thanks guys, the site is now really truly much better.
(and I know that this was the wrong section to post this to... please don't flame me :D )
