Ok, I have two major problems. 4 out of 5 times when my MDA is longer on active sync it freezes. And I have problems instaling programs like C2C or Call Blocker, because it tells me there are some problems. I guess it is conected to .net because when I insteled the newest version of .net my self (before AKU), I had those programs runing, but when I install them now (after AKU), it tells me that it is already installed or when I try to install an older version, it tells me it is not possible.

The message I get is something like:

Name "Microsoft.WindowsMobile.PocketOutlook,

Any idea?

Hello All

I am having a nightmare and hope someone can help. I have tried to update my Jasjar ROM to 1.90.96 today but have failed catastrophically! Before starting I insured I had the latest level Windows 3.1 installer and Active Sync 4.2. I have checked the bootloader on my device by pressing the two keys on the top of the keypad and the reset button and it confirmed I have version 1.01.

Now for the bad news. I established a connection via Active Sync as instructed and opened the update file. The programme started the radio update but sat at 0% for about 5 minutes and then informed me it was unable to establish a connection. I have tried to follow the recovery instructions on the screen but my device just displays USB v1.01 on the screen and does nothing. My P.C also tells me it is unable to establish a connection and the program closes.

Can any of the experts out there help please or have I now managed to make myself a very expensive brick!!!

BTW, O2 calls it an Exec but the manufacturer calls it a Universal, so that's the name most people here use. AKA i-mate jasjar and lots of other names. They're listed in the XDA Developers Wiki, which is anyway a jolly good place to browse.

on 25-10-2006, 10:16 PM jwright said that it would only take a few days for the new rom to be ready but there is now still no sign of the new rom or a sign of the maker. Does anybodu know what happened?? Crashed his pc or what?? because the rom would be here two weeks ago according tot it's maker.

i have one major problem, my contacts dont launch. also mt camera button and voice button doesnot work. gives me error "the file 01button cannot be opened either it is not signed with a trusted certificate,or one of its components cannot be found you might need to reinstall or restore this file" this pop up i get for both voice recording,camera button. ok i got all right 2nd time after hard reset. my spb backup created all hell. i lost all my contacts. i have to input all my contacts again:)

2 simple ways to backup your contact, 1 without much software (just copying) and 1 using activesync with outlook.

1. Copying method is just copy from the root directory of main memory of your ppc the file called PIM.VOL to somewhere save and far away from your main memory and after rom update or hardreset, just copy it back to the same place and you can see your contacts again.

2. Activesync method is even simple, just sync with your outlook and sync it back again after your other business (hardreset). Only thing that will be missing is the individual ringtone set to your individual contacts.

I must say I am all new to the whole idea of using a non-official firmware. But after the good reviews, I decided to give it a try.

I am very happy with this firmware. It is rock solid, and WAY more impressive than anything i-mate came out with.

Some suggestions:

* Screen Icon: As many others said in this post, we kinda miss the little screen orientation icon in the bottom-right of the screen. I know we can hack it with a regedit or a .CAB, but it would be cool to have it by default (IMHO).

* The icon to install the antivirus: With the imate firmware, we can simply go to add/remove programs and choose to remove the install icon. With this firmware, I had to install the antivirus, then remove it. By doing so the software "was removed".

* wired headset: Something that bugs me is the i-mate headset which has a button that is completly worthless. That button can only be used to answer calls and put them on hold (instead of dropping them!) Is there any chance this button from the headset could be programmed?

Still, would be cool if we could actually configure that button to do something! Say, to use the voice dialing or microsoft voice command... I haven't installed MS voice command since the last ROM upgrade because I was told it is a bit unstable for MW5 (universal in particular?)

Um. I hate to continue this off topic thread, but according to every major tech web site (and I believe I-mate has confirmed this themselves) i-mate is no longer a distributor of HTC products. The K-jar you link to is actually manufactured by Tech Faith Wireless, one of i-mate's new suppliers.

after bricking my phone and then puting it in boot loader mode and upgrading the boot loader i finally could take a look at it. it is great. however i have this problem with contacts. as soon as i run contacts it shows the contacts main form for a fraction of a second and then closes it...

any ideas?

I have 4 queries.
1.When I get a incoming call the phone only rings once, and not continous ring. If I am not near the phone i may miss the call.Is it a bug? I am using a mp3 tone from the SD card as default.

2. Where can i get the original antivirus that comes with the imate jasjar.

After upgrading my rom to Jwright above are the issues I have noticed.

3.Where is the wizard which starts on the fresh upgrade of the [jwright]rom located. Is it possible to use it later if one wants to configure mail etc.

4. While sending MMS earlier in the original rom one could see a better status symbol with a circle and arrow indication message going/recieving.
Now with new Rom upgrade[jwright] one gets a different letter type on the task bar. Is it normal or a change.Any way of getting the previos one as it was
more eye catchy. :)

Quite right. I tried the InternetSharing app and I must say, it is MUCH MUCH better! I managed to do it through USB and through bluetooth using the default Windows XP SP2 bluetooth stack.

If this problem persist I have to change to another rom....:( :( :(

Actually the old WModem application is also installed but hidden. You can create a shortcut by using File Explorer and going to Windows Folder and search for WModem. Copy WModem and then go to Windows>Start Menu>Programs and create a shortcut there. That is if you prefer using the OLD WModem app.

My battery's fine. I've never actually had it die one me, and the lowest (that I've actually checked and seen) it's gone was 9%... At times it may have been lower than that, but I've had no premature dying.

It has been a while since my last ROM update and I thought I would build another one based on the newly available AKU 3.2 core. The good news is that I have completed the ROM and have tested it myself extensively (as always) with no major bugs or issues to report. I am now posting the final version for all that wish to help evaluate and test this beta prior to its full release. As I stated above this is my final beta and all features should operate as desired, however if anyone should have issues or suggestions please post them.

It's always a good idea to search the thread to check if this problem has been solved somewhere before posting a question. There's a little menu on the right of the page towards the top that lets you do this.

This has been encountered before and is not a problem with JW's file. You need to have the latest version of the Windows Installer on your PC. I'm told that it's a good idea to upgrade your Installer to 3.1 version 2. The upgrade is on the Microsoft website.

Or you could try having Automatic Updates turned on in your PC's control panel so that you don't have to remember to do these things.

Hello I hope someone can help me with this I searched in this thread but could not find anything about this fucntionality missing so it can be that i'm the only one with this problem.

I want to save a tel. number(not all of them, but just one) from my universal memory to my sim card. Normally you select the person in contact, the info opens you see the telefon number, here it is usual that you have to tap the menu, the menu opens and you'll find an option "Contact to sim" mine is greyed out(unavailable). is there something i need to do in the regestry pr a patch... Hope someone can clarify this to me.

First off.... Hello everyone!

Sorry that I have been away, but had to go and make money for the bills...

Anyway... On to the questions at hand, Internet Sharing Application Use.

To use the internet sharing application you must have Microsoft ActiveSync 4.2 installed on the PC you are connecting to. If you have the correct ActiveSync version installed, then simply start the Internet Sharing application and select USB, then select your connection (i.e. "Internet Sharing"), then press "Connect" and connect the device to the PC using your USB cable. You will now be able to connect to the internet using your mobile as a modem.

I have not encountered a thread about this, of course I might be wrong. In Helmi's ROM there is an application called USB Switch, so you can switch between SERIAL mode or RNDIS mode. I am not sure what this do as of now.

more than likely he will have everything in this new rom.I can almost put all my pennies on the fact that the new rom that JW produces will inturn have the crossbow design and more goodies will be added.Alot if not all are concerned about the memory leak and other minor issues.In my opinion ,waiting for his new release will be a major asset to us all.also there is over 90 pages,which i know that JW has seen the known issues that some have had and he is going to make sure that most of the problems people are having is nullified.

Phone app has disappeared from main screen?

When I try to do a manual GPRS setup, on first screen PAP or CHAP Authentification there is no back or next. Cannot continue the setup.

I just started to use i-mate- JJ a month ago. Now I have a problem with SD-CARD installed softwares. For example I am reading PDF with repligo. If I turn of Jasjar for a while then it disconnects everything from SD-CARD. It closes Repligo PDF reader. It's same for other SD-CARD installed softwares. Even I install repligo on main memory and if I open a PDF file from SD-CARD then repligo stays open but file is closed. It's same at SBP-insights or dictionary or pocket informant installed on sd-CARD.

I don't have enough main memory to install everything on it.
Before jasjar I used i-mate XDA-II. I was using same softwares and i didn't get any problem.

If you turn of JASJAR by closing monitor or using on/off button it forgets (disconnects) SDCARD. Shuts down softwares installed on SDCARD.

I am using ROM 1.30.76. Should I upgrade my ROM to 1.90.94

I have been using the ROM for a few days and everything is working great. In fact local apps aren't slowing the device down as much as they used to. I am on Fido in Canada, and since there is no auto setup I need to setup GPRS manually. Can't seem to get past first screen. Any ideas? Am I missing something. I have done the setup before, because the Jasjar is not officially sanctioned by Fido.

Any ideas or suggestions would be greatly apprecited

Great ROM! I have had one big issue however when I installed it on my jasjar. After a while, when I try to launch the phone I get the following error "cprog not valid ppc application" and a soft reset does not fix it. Basically I cannot use my jasjar as aphone anymore cos I cannot even get it regitered on a network or launch the phone. Any ideas?

Beside the Comm Manager which is at the bottom right which you claim not working, on the top right hand, do you see a "U", "G" or may "3G", click on it, you should see a bubble popping out, click on the setting, you should go to the same place as those troublesome menu method.

2) Can I remove the clearvue program, or replace it with acrobat reader 2.0for ppc? Clearvue don't handle large pda files very well.

For the Comm Manager, the grey means it is off, click on it, it will turn yellow which in on.

Are you in native MS environment or you have install other Menu Software like Wisbar, etc? If you are using the native M$ Windows Environment, you should see "G" if you are connected to GSM or "U"/"3G" if you are connected to UMTS. If you have other Menu Software, it should have some other ICONs which represent the "G", "U" or "3G".

Besides the "G", "U", "3G", the antennae icon will do the same trick.

Try this small app: GPRS Connect. There is no icon though.

seems as though you are using wisbar for your settings.It is stated that some applications do not work properly(as stated in the begining of this thread and also throughout).Try re-flashing your ROM then setting up your JJ.The ROM is not the problem.The problem is all of the extra programs some if not the majority add after flashing their devices......

For iMate = CDL__001
For O2 = O2___001
For QTEK = QTEK_001
etc....
i believe it is already discussed in the wiki... search to know which header is compatible to your device..... Probably this is the problem why other users have problem with their device "The ROM header is not compatible to their Device Data"... (I am not sure if I am correct in this analysis)

Suggestion::: Do not use "MaUpgradeUt_noID.exe" in upgrading device, instead, update you ROM Header. With This your Device Data is the same as your ROM Header.......:-)

I experienced the weak bluetooth signal with x.96 ROM and radio 1.13.x too, after upgrading radio to 1.14.x (found it somewhere here) the bluetooth signal has been improved much. GSM signal seems more stable. 1.14.x radio is really good.

This is my first customised ROM upgrade and it works great. thanks! but ive got questions.

1. when i go to Remove Programs in Settings, I can only see programs that i've installed to my storage memory, but not in the main memory.. how can i see/ remove program that i've installed in the main memory.

2. how can i remove the pocket MSN as I've use the Windows Live messenger now. and also the cyberon voice speed dialer (i use MS voice command v1.6)

3. How to create a modem connection and mms settings in a .cab files? so that i can put it in my ExtROM an everytime I do the hard reset, i dont have to set it manually again.

I suspect for DOPOD it is "DOPOD001", I am not sure, check it yourself.

First of all thanks lot to the great efforts put into this ROM! Is is one of the most reliable ROMs I have ever tried on my devices! For the first time ever my SPV M5000 is behaving like a phone should be - when I turn it on it always comes on and when phone calls come in it always rings. And it hasn't crashed so far yet, excellent!!:)

There is one small issue though with the GPS immediate driver(GPS in the Settings folder), this issue may actually be a Microsoft problem but I wonder if anyone has a solution to it.

What it is, the the GPS immediate driver supposes to let multiple programs share a single GPS receiver by virtualising the hardware COM port it uses. But it doesn't work and by looking at a MS forum I am not the only one have this problem.

For example, I have a bluetooth GPS which I have been using for a long time and I know it works with my phone. I paired it with the phone, added a "new outgoing port" under bluetooth settings and assigned COM4 to it. This works great and I can use Tomtom and other programs with it.

Then I was trying to use the GPS immediate driver by - setting the hardware port to COM4 and setting the programs port to COM8. What's supposed to happen is that I should be able to use one or multiple GPS applications by connecting them to COM8 because WM5 should virtualize it. However I couldn't even get one program to talk to COM8, it is just like there is nothing on that port at all. And yet, if I point them one at a time to COM4 they work fine!

And by looking at a MS forum, some poeple got it working by running at least two GPS programs in a very tricky way simutaneously. I haven't tried that but the point is, if multiple programs can work on that port, why can't a single program work on it too?

GPS immediate driver is a good idea, if only it works. I know there are other products like GPSgate etc which does the same thing. Anybody has a solution to that I shall very much appreciate it!! Thanks!

This Rom is great. But I now have a small anoying problem.
I have been using this ROM since its release and for the first time my Universal works. I can use it in anger and it does what I need. (Thanks JW)
About 2 days ago I recieved an SMS and a Voicemail notification at the same time. Having cleared the notifications and the listened to the voicemail I though that was the end of it. No. I now have the voicemail symbol O_O in the top bar and the word Notification on the bottom bar. I cannot clear this no matter what I do. I have soft reset, but this did not clear. I have removed the battery for a few minutes, this did not clear. I have just done a hard reset and this has still not cleared. (The LED flash is green and there is no vm to listen to). I just tried removing the Sim card and powering up, but still the notification is there. (WTF).
How can I get rid of the notification

Hope some one can help. It's pissing me off now.

Not wanting to diss a great product but I found today that my XDA Exec 'died' at around 16%; could this be an issue with the system misreading the true battery level (ie it wasn't 16% it was 0%), or some backup level set too high (my hx4700 would go into standby at a level set by the user to prevent the device losing all data and going into hard reset)?

OK, all fixed now. Strange thing was, I upgraded the ROM to Helmi's AKU3.5, but this still did not make a difference.
In the end, I called my mobile and left a message. Let all the notifications kick off, then responded to them. They have now gone.

Seems I can sent to myself from my phone. If I sent to my email address then it works fine but when I reply it goes to the phone but stucks on 99% on the download. MMS from another phone seems to go through just not from internet.... very strange

That might be because you have unlocked the extended ROM. Hide it again by changing this registry key:

HKLM\System\StorageManager\Profiles\TRUEFFS_DOC1\M ountHidden = 1

Then soft reset your Universal. I used to have problem of some programs automatically writting files to the Extened ROM if it is unlocked the the programs are set to save to Storage. For some reason, the Extended ROM take priority over the SD Storage with some of the programs.

I've been using Radio v1.14.10 for quite a while now. Tried it with AKU3.2, 3.3 and now 3.5 ... Haven't really come across any issues. It seems to be working great.

Btw, I love this ROM... Well done Helmi ... This is the most fastest and efficient ROM I have seen over the past year (or well since I've been looking atleast!). However really need the Smart Dial to start working... Keep up the great work.

I'm using the Plantronics Discovery 640 and I haven't had any issues with it. Once it's detected (when switched on), it's quite fast in picking up the connection. I haven't tried the voice activation for voice commander though.

Also the bluetooth app works quite well. I can connect to active sync via bluetooth without any issues.

Well I'm using the Radio 1.14.10. ... Try this. Install the ROM for the Operator you use and try the headset. If you still have the issue then it might just not be compatible with the universal? ... Not sure. Was actually gonna buy one myself! :P ... There is this extra Bluetooth cab file that I got with one of the ROMs before. Can't really remember what it does but you can have a try. If it doesn't make a difference then just unistall it or reinstall the ROM.

I use flexmail 2007 and have no complications.maybe you have 2 conflicting applications.if you set flexmail as default for mail and also for sms then you should be fine.once you set it then untick the one for sms and then your problem is solved.I have the newest version that arose 1 month ago and have had no problems now or on previous versions of this application.try that and let me know if that will solve your problem.

I installed the ROM on my Jasjar and it seems fine with one problem- as soon as I try to change ringtones in settings the dialog crashes and I am stuck with the defaults. I cant see the names of the default ringtones or other alarm notifications - I installed twice and downloaded twice - any ideas?

It is the first time I have used a non Vendor provided ROM version and the quality is extremely high. The performance is excellent and the standard i-Mate version just cannot compare.

I hope i-Mate, HTC and Universal etc. appreciate the (very positive) impact that you are having on the usage of their devices and hope that (IF THEY ARE READING THIS AND THEY SHOULD BE) they will realize that we are getting better "bang for our buck" through your (JW's and the other developers) efforts.

Just a quick note that I seem to have an issue with the navi-button on the screen of my jasjar.

It seems that if I press this button hen the "arrow" keys appear to get stuck an whatever is on the screen rotates constantly.

e.g. if I am in the programs then it moves from one program to the next in what ever direction I pressed the key.
if I am in Word the it scrolls to the words

I seem to have it at other times as well and I never had this with the official release. I may have a hardware failure but though I would see if anyone else is having this problem

Also, my battery does not last past 60% and the jasjar just switches off completely.

Anyone else have similar issues.

i htink it could be the battery so i am ordering a replacment one, but its starting to get annoying....

If i have all the radios running then it will also reboot.

I have my phone on charge all day and all night so its only unplugged to and from work and if i go out at the weekend....

this is most frustrationg any ideas?

Have you tried different ROMs? Does your battery die when using other ROMs? If you haven't tried, then you should. Many users have different issues with the same ROMs. Maybe you won't have this issue with another one. If you do, then it's definitely the time to replace the battery.

How about the memory, is it full?

Sounds simple but my Exec was playing up till I realised that the internet cache was full and transferred the cache to the SD card.

your battery is rooted. happened to mine after about 12mths use.

my charging and use was similar, but mine started dying at 50- 60%.

the previously post about memory and internet is valid, but my guess battery will solve your problems. due to your regular charge you probably didnt notice the decay in your battery.

got a new battery fixed all problems. nothing to do with the ROM.

I agree. That might be the case. Though I think they're all busy creating ROMs for other devices. So might be some time till we get a new version. I don't mind though. I keep reinstalling ROMs it's kind of a release for me. Haven't stuck this long with a ROM for awhile now! :D

help. my xda exec is stuck in serial mode i downloaded all the files and as i was extracting the maugradeut i clicked one of the files now it only says serial at the top and v1.00 at the bottom i reset it and everything it goes back to that screen

re-run the upgrade. you should keep it connected and re-run. Reset the device, restart your PC and re-run it.

try downloading the updated bootloader if that fails.

I have had a number of smartphones, last of which was the Sony Ericsson P900. When I saw the iMate Jasjar, I thought I had found the ultimate solution. Push email, Worldmate on a big screen, great Outlook Synchronization, etc. I have a Plantronics Bluetooth headset that is great so I took the plunge. Well after trying different ROMs I think I made a mistake. Although a great concept, the JasJar seems to be a product not quite ready for prime time. I have generally found it to be unstable, bluetooth radio poor, and resource management weak. I also expected to see some good MS infrastructure such as .net, Direct 3D, etc., which seem to also be dysfunctional. Compared to the P900, the JasJar is an expensive early beta device. If anyone has found a ROM update that they believe is really stable and solid, I would be interested to try again, but am not sure whether all the shortcomings are ROM related.

Why not try out the Helmi_c AKU 3.5 v1.3 ROM. It's stable enough in comparison to many, it's memory and resource friendly. There's also a Vanilla version which I haven't been able to try. I had the P900 and then the P910i before I changed to the Universal. I think it has a few good points in comparison to the SE P Series and well the P Series has a few good points better than the Universal. I also have a Plantronics headset and it works great with my set. Try using the Radio 1.14.10.

Obviously, maybe another AKU ROM will work better for you. Just balance your pros and cons and make your decision.

Yeah, that can be a pain. I must say however since I got my set which has been almost a year now i have been changing ROMs, and Helmi is the one ROM i have stuck with for a while now. Here's the link to the Universal folder in the ftp site. The AKU ROMs are in the cooked rom folder:

Really? I found that this ROM gave me better WiFi connectivity than other ROMs. Go to Start->Settings->Connectivity->Wi-Fi and either select your router from the list or click on add new and enter your details and encryption type. This has always worked great for me. As for the messenger I don't use Windows Live as I find it annoying when you log on to messenger and it downloads all my contacts and adds them to my contacts on the universal. The mail checking, well that always worked fine. Give it another try. It should work. Don't see why it doesn't.

Fortunately the wifi problem seems fine at the mo and it seems to store the password :)

I've given messaging a go this morning too so will see what happens once the battery runs out ;)

Oh and BTW, last night whilst running mortplayer again it just went 'off' once on opening and closing the unit and had to be reset to use it again, so it is probably not a ROM issue.

Hello Everyone,

It has been a while since my last ROM update and I thought I would build another one based on the newly available AKU 3.2 core. The good news is that I have completed the ROM and have tested it myself extensively (as always) with no major bugs or issues to report. I am now posting the final version for all that wish to help evaluate and test this beta prior to its full release. As I stated above this is my final beta and all features should operate as desired, however if anyone should have issues or suggestions please post them.

Though I have been using Jwrights rom and have been very satisfied so far, lately a strange problem has cropped up. Yesterday i tried ro send an image to another bluetooth device and i get a window pop up titled "image beam blooth disabled". Though both devices are paired this keeps happening.
I am using imate jasjar. Could any good soul in here help me solve this. Itried to my desktop too and same error happens.

To be honest, I think this ROM combines speed, functionality, high memory, and stability all in one. Compared to all WM6 ROM, if you are looking for VIDEO CALL functionality, this is your ROM. Better than the official AKU2 ROMs. That is why I posted a link for everyone.

YES, it is a known fact that Video Calls don't work in WM6. This ROM is AKU 3.2 WM5.

Hi,
I have got the same problem on my PPC. Serial/USB. You are right EnterBL.exe makes the device execute the boot loader at startup. You are also right that You need a universal exit bootloader. I followed your instructions but still get error message on running the file you posted.

It says that it cannot open usb port.

I can see "Pocket_PC" in My Computer.
Which means I am connected. I also have access to files in PPC.
I was just trying to upgrade the ROM and install Windows Mobile 6.

Please Help.

I upgraded my JASJAR and it was working perfectly untill I noticed that I am missing some calls (During call waiting), it does not appear while in another call. Also the device freezes ocaasionally and have to soft reset about 2 times a day. I tried downgrading to the original ROM which is JASJAR_ME_13082_171_10900_wwe_ship. The flasing went fine up to 100% then the device froze and after 4 minutes gave me ab error to use another tool to upgrade. No the device is totally bricked won't start up, after a hard reset the screen gives the normal "Press 0 to reset or X to exit". but neither do any thing. now When I connect the device to the PC there is a USB error (Unrecignized device). Anything I can do please ???

Thanks for this link! Rom upgrade went smoothly, and have been using this for the whole day without any incident. It does feel slightly faster than the O2 AKU2 rom and it feels rather nice to have a Jwrightmcps ROM!! Thank you, Jwrightmcps and everyone who has contributed to this very long thread.

I've managed to download the original ROM from DOPOD site and i'm very satisfied with WM5 right now. All problem with WM6 has been resolved. :D VC is very important to me to communicate with my family back in PHIL. using VC :D

I'm not familiar with RapidShare or FTP stuff but if you can put this ROM somewhere else then i'm happy to flush my DOPOD 900 (bug free right!). Cheers!

what was the message (usually in red) in rapidshare? did it say that your ip is already downloading something? this happens when you are using a proxy.

When someone from another phone sends MMS picture to me I always get the size of picture decreased 10 times as well... Any ideas WHY? This is not our operator who decreases the size it seems that ARC MMS Composer does something but I'm not able to find what to adjust to get pictures of original size...Incoming pictures are always resized to 128x119, without any sence what resolution was the originally. Settings regarding foto in MMS composer seems to be only related to outgoing fotos but not for incoming.

acmorf, That was one of the errors, the other was that as a non premium user I would need to wait xx minutes before I could download again, despite the fact that I had not downloaded.

That is because of a setting on your phone. Look and see if you have an application called MESSAGING. Go into that application and look into one of its options specifically:

Well, before I've posted I tried to adjust setting in Messaging>Menu>Tools>Options>Tap on MMS>Preferences>Scroll down to PHOTO RESOLUTION>CHOOSE ORIGINAL but it relates only to INCOMING messages. I've put original, 680x480 - the result is the same. People got from me resized picture and I receive from them resized picture as well. Our provider has nothing to do since when I use NOKIA to ERICSSON for example no resizing

Sorry to bother but I have a GPRS connection problem with the 1.90.96 ROM. It seems that I can' t connect to the internet.
Also the comm manager's button for the GPRS doesn't work at all.
Could someone help me please?

Hi I have same problem. Just founded this site so totally new at this posting messages. User of the imate Jasjar still running rom v1.30.82 WWE really want this new rom upgrade too. Tried the adx-developers links(page cannot be display) and tried the 218.93.115.138 -- D900 link, does downloud the rom but as soon as I extract files out .rar it give erro file corrupt.

Checked the link. Its working fine. If you cannot unzip the file try downloading the .exe from the list. the 1.90.94 works fine for me.. ;-)

I have an I-mate jasjar and I was looking for an upgrade. I found some conversations online that led me to this site. If my understanding serves me right this website have the software to upgrade my ROM to WM6. I tried all the links but I cant download it. I was able to download the last one though.

MaUpgradeUt_noID.zip

After downloading it. It gave me these files:

Enterbl.exe
Getdevicedata.exe
Maupgradeut_noid.exe
Readme.doc
Ruu.conf
Ruu.dll
Ui.dll

I extracted them into my storage card then when I clicked on the enterbl.exe my imate shutdown and restarted. So everything was ok. Then I clicked on the getdevicedata.exe and nothing happened. When I clicked on the maupgradeut_noid.exe my imate shutdown again and all I can see is a black screen with only the words written on top of the screen “ serial” and below is “v 1.00”. I tried to remove the batteries and click on the reset button but it still stays the same. Also I tried to restore the factory setting backlight came with the option to press 0 to continue and x to exit. But still it would go back to the black screen. When I inserted the USB it cannot connect to my PC’s activesync but the word on the screen appears as “USB” then when I remove it, it goes back to “serial”

U should use Maupgradeut_noid.exe on your PC, your mobile device must be connect to PC using USB cable. And the important thing, you must have nk.nbf file on same folder for flashing your ROM image. ;)

Hello,

I broke my touch screen and I change it with new from ebay, but after install it the rotate screen doesn't work, it was working fine with the other screen.

Can it be from the screen who don't have this function? Maybe I must upgrade the Universal again with the Rom to recognize the new screen?

Can some one help me?
