is the 2.19.11 radio rom for tmobile. Will I get bad reception because I'm on the cingular network but I have the tmobile radio rom?
it will work just fine for you. Cingular and T-Mobile use the same frequencies. Your phone is quad band and can receive all of them.

does the original cingular radio work just as well at the tmobile 2.19? and if so, where would I download it? What is it called on the FTP site?

I really need some help.
I flashed my Qtek 9100 and got no error message. Now there is a "little" problem the telefone isnt finding a service, i cant activesync isnt working anymore (wanted to flash orig. version) and the device is horribly slow (perhaps the telefone is trying to find a service the whole time)
All i can say is HELP :(

***sorry, wrong thread***
I seem to be the only person on this thread that had a problem with the 2.61 rom. It installed fine, as I was upgrading over the 2.47 rom.
I currently stay at a location with poor T-mobile reception (Altoona, PA, i'm at university) and with the 2.47 rom, I can get a sustained 1 or 2 bars with gprs connected all the time, a drastic improvement over the 2.25 rom.
With the 2.61 rom, the reception would constantly drop and come back again, and gprs would not connect at all. The same locations that i would have no trouble with before, i would struggle to get 1 bar with the 2.61 rom.
I took a note of everywhere I use the phone and downgraded back to the 2.47 rom, going back to all the locations that I have been before, and every one of those locations were able to connect to the network with gprs.
I am not sure what this issue was about, but I have decided to stick with 2.47 for now, until the next radio rom comes out. i would like to hear if anybody had similar issues. If it helps, my phone is a T-mobile MDA G3 with ipl/spl 2.26, SIM/CID unlocked, faria 3.3v2 rom.

I installed the 2.47.11 radio, and was amazed at the improvement in both the number of bars I received in some very weak areas previously, and also the overall sound quality. Very nice. Unfortunately, I can't get Microsoft Voice Command to work with my BlueTooth headset now. I also had two dropped calls (but to be honest, that may be a different issue as I have had lots of dropped calls on 2.25.11 also). I've rolled back to 2.25.11 for now, but may attempt it again to see if Microsoft Voice Command not working with this is consistent or if it was some other issue.

Iv used this radio rom as well. Including the 2.61 and 2.40. and 2.25 From all the radio rom's the majority of the users if you read around the forum's experience dropped calls and missed sms's. Sometimes not even receiving a missed call notification. But these issues seemed to be confined to cingular users (my network as well) and more specifically wm6 and cingular used in conjuction. Any radion rom above the 2.19 gives problems.

It is simply an upgrade from the standard radio rom in the official Cingular rom. And yes you can flash this rom. Easily.

It doesn't matter if your phone is SIM/CID locked,Radio Rom can be flashed without it getting SIM/CID unlocked as it doesn't have any IPL/SPLin it nor any OS(Window).Just download and hook up your phone with pc via usb cable and run the RUU included in the Radio Rom it'll start to upgrade.

Hey guys, quick question, sorry if this was answered earlier in the thread but did a quick search and nothing came up. Would it be necessary to upgrade the radio if I am using WM6.1?? I am not sure if there is a "better" radio version used...but I was just curious.
Thanks

You can use any 2.xx radio with WM6.1.
I'm using 2.47 for longer than i can remember (maybe when it was first posted) and haven't had any complaints and issues to bother me.
My advice is to go for it :)
cheers
