View Full Version : Im having problems with my g4 and roms...help

or is this pretty much because i have a g4 this most roms dont work??

You can't flash a G4 with a G3 rom that includes a bootloader and vice versa. You're lucky you haven't ruined the phone by now. Spend a minute and look through all the posts already here about this subject.

but even when i download the rom for a G4, they work.... but not fully... no extra programs where put on.... i was able to set up my GPRS settings manually so that worked.... but no MMS txt were workin...

new 30mb rom... i downloaded the G4 WWE verison... but do not kow if i need to CID-unlock my g4wizard.. i have lizowlki0.2b to unlock it.. but was told i didnt need 2

As far as i know you need to CID unlock first if you have a wizard as part of an operator contract.

My wizard is not tied to any operator and i installed and have been running this G4 WWE ROM for about a week with no problems at all.

I have set up the WAP settings manually for my operator but have not figured out yet how to get the MMS folder in messaging

Yes i downloaded a rom.. and had the SAME problem... but also the extra progrms that came with the rom didnt work as well....along with the MMS folder... *shrugs* i cant even figure out how to unlock my g4... ive tired with lokiwiz0.2b but it dont work

It's impossible to CID unlock a G4 phone without "paying" for it...
