Only way at presnet is to contact vodaphone and pay a fee of 15-20 can't remember the correct fee. I have been waiting for a week so far for my unlock code they said it can be anything from 14 days - 28 days.
chrissyboy6969
12th October 2006, 12:08 AM
Yeah i did that today they said i had to put £20.oo credit on my pay as you go phone and wait, however i wasnt convinced it is going to work as she didnt know what the phone was or anything. Did they say how they would contact you or any other info
chrissyboy6969
12th October 2006, 12:25 AM
I will have to wait for 2 weeks before i can use this damn it
xxnoelziexx
12th October 2006, 12:25 AM
I would advise you to go into a vodaphone store pay the £20 over the counter and then the wait begins. They will ask you for a email address and full postal address, The network unlock comes from another department so they are not generated in store but this way you have someone to go back too.
I have push service on my email so as soon as i get it I am going to unlock the phone I called and tonight and they say it shouldn't be too long.
chrissyboy6969
12th October 2006, 12:28 AM
I asked in store first and they said they couldnt do it as "Computer says no" so i called them up, they took my email address and an alternative number and told me to add £20.00 credit to my pay as you go number so they can take payment, i will wait and see if the payment is taken then chase them, i want the phone for my work tmobile account as i have web n walk

Same here I can wait till I get my unlock code I really like the form factor of the treo to my TyTN. I take it you took the Treo out on pay as you go then? I think the in store price was £400 when I last looked.
chrissyboy6969
12th October 2006, 08:22 AM
Yeah i picked it up for £380.oo in store

How are you guys finding it compared to the TyTN?

12th October 2006, 06:25 PM
Well just a heads up, i emailed this company today and they say they can unlock a Treo 750V so i have sent them my imei no and should have an unlock code in 24-48 hrs it costs £25.00 but its better than waiting 2-3 weeks that vodafone are stating minimum
I will give you an update when i get the code

I just had a word with a vodaphone sales guy and they said the reason why there is 2-3 weeks wait, They don't want there customers leaving so you have to seee out the contract period. 14 days you can take the phone back and cancle the contract.
Keep me updated as I may be getting a spare treo as a second phone and giving my TyTN to my brother.
Nice find chrissyboy6969
£405 all in all for a treo 750 sim free isn't bad at all.

I has just unlocked my treo 750v locked to 3G networks with this website :
http://www.dudoanketqua.com/unlock/unlock_treo-750v.php
I bought the unlock instructions ( only 19.99$ ) , provide them my Imei number and they give me a key file ( file *.unl )
I use a data cable and unlock it using a software they provided and this key file within 5 minutes . it worked great now
You can also buy it from ebay
http://rover.ebay.com/rover/1/711-1751-2978-71/1?AID=5463217&PID=2151181&mpre=http://search.ebay.com/unlock+treo+750
I'm looking for some one can provide me a English Rom . my treo is in Frence now. If you got it. please send me a PM. Thanks
If you wanna have this key file to reasearch for a free unlocking method for people, contact me and i'll email you. Notes that in the program said thay" each imei have a difference key file ..." so it think it will not works with your phone .

Did you try an other sim instead of looking for unlocking your treo 750?
Anyway, I did and was happy to see an Orange simcard just was working fine!
There's no lock on my Vodafone Treo 750!

raised a support ticket, no reponse, emailed sales, no response, tried phoning their contact no. in the uk, no repsonse, tried filling in a contact email from their website - doesn't work.
anybody got any ideas or suggestions?

Well the advice is pretty straight on.
What makes you think carrier X is going to have access to carrier Y's unlock codes?
If you have a branded phone you can either get the unlock code from the branded carrier -or- pay a third party company to unlock it via a hack.
If you want to use a Cingular phone on T-Mobile (or anyone else's) network, either get Cingular to unlock it or hit up an indie phone shop. :)

Alrighty then ... that is what I am going to have to do since going by what the wiki page said to do didn't work.
Thanks anyway.

Just got my phone unlocked with this service and it was quick and painfree. When you have paid using paypal, just click the button where it says something about the merchant and it will take you to a page with your server username details and password, so you don't have to wait for the email.
I have sent you a pm Nextgen, so i can claim the 50% refund :D What a bargain!

Put in a foreign SIM (any non-Cingular SIM) and turn the phone on.
It'll ask you for the code.
Put the code in.
This is pretty standard across all mobile phones (and a great way to verify that the unlock did actually work).

mmm... unfortunately I don't own a Cheetah to test this, but can you technically explain how your system works? what do you mean by "direct unlock"? Do you patch radio or SPL? do you run software on the phone (wince) or is it all done through bootloader?
Thanks in advance

I can also vouch for NetGenServer for unlocking my 750.
Although there are resellers [of NextgenServer] on eBay charging LESS than NetGen do directly! If anyone's interested, PM me and I'll find details of the guy I used who's a NextGen affiliate.

Hi, I also used http://www.imei-check.co.uk/ and it worked great. That was about 2 weeks ago. Yesterday on Cingulars web site I found the PUK code for my phone after I logged in to my account. If all you want to do is unlock your phone to use on another carrier, just call whom ever you have the service with now. They will give you the unlock code. If you want to CID unlock your phone, thats a different story, I want to be able to use any kind of ROM I want therefor I used the above company. Hope I could be of any help. I just recently switched from a 8125 to a Treo 750, now my 8125 if a test phone for me, running WM 6.

I just purchased Nextgen's unlock and ran the software. It definately SIM unlocked the phone as I tried another sim with success, but when I flashed the Vodafone ROM that has been floating around the forum using the memory card method, the software on my phone remained 1.13-CNG instead of switching to 1.15-VFE. The reason im making the switch is because the owner of the AT&T store that I work at had the 750v and now has the 750, and regrets switching from the Vodafone to the Cingular model. Any suggestions?

I just tried this but it is not working properly. This is getting very frustrating. It is not working as easy as you say it should. After I entered all the info and press Unlock Treo 750, it puts the phone in USB mode but the it gives me a message saying "Cant detect phone". I need to use this phone ASAP. HELP....I emailed NextGen adn am waiting for response. Does anyone else have any ideas?

I tried this (and it did not work). At first
-I do not think this should be done on Vista based systems (got error after phone reboot).
-Tried on XP Pro system Got passed the first error, Then got a Unsupported device error. (had client 1.08)
-Bought the same service from the ebay seller lister earlier in this thread got the newer version of the same client used by nexgen 1.08h and this worked I now am using my t750 on USA T-Mobile.
-In defense of nexgen (I re-read the instructions and they specified that client 1.08h was required for this unlock) this was not the version I was sent but I will deal with their support folks. So here is what I have found in unlocking the treo 750 (Cingular Branded).
-Just an update on Nextgen support, Their support is Prompt, Professional, And very Helpful. I would recommend this service for unlocking (they stand by/support their service).
Cheers

How did you get the code from Cingular?
You call them up and ask for it...they'll give it to you. And you put the code in by simply putting a non-ATT/Cingular sim card in the 750 and it will ask for an unlock code. Make sure to press the "option" key so that you're keying in numbers and not letters.
