Agile Messenger won't reconnect

I'm running Molski 2.26 on a 2.25.0001 IPL/SPL. For some reason when I am signed into Agile (only AOL), and then i make a call, when i end the call, Agile refuses to sign back in to AOL. It just sits there and spins the red x.

I've tried using IM+, same thing. I've enabled GPRS always on. I've upgraded the radio.

Is anyone else having this problem? Any solutions?

Note * my friend is running 2.26 on a G3 and does not experience this. Wierd

I just did some further testing. And this is an AOL specific bug. MSN will reconnect just fine.

To get aol to reconnect i have to quit the program, launch it again, and then connect. This is annoying after every phone call.

super wierd. and i've confirmed that this isnt an agile bug because like i said, my friends G3 does not have the same problem and we are running the same version AMST-WMPPC-57 of agile

I too have that same problem. My specs are in my signature.

I dunno what the problem is, because I remember it used to connect when I got off the phone. This started happening recently within the past month for me.

I only use aim and gmail, neither of which would re-log back in. they would just say unable to connect to internet.I did not have to login after a call on agile messenger, but I am not paying monthly fees for agile. Any help would be appreciated.

Did you also try the alternative messengers? There are a lot of them. See the IM Bible at http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=295677 for more info.

Even for gmail/ gtalk I would recommen octrotalk www.octro.com. It reconnects and you can chose autologon/off for time and day. And the betaphase is forwarded to 15th of April.

Thanks Menneisyys, I read your posting about constant internet connected im problems. I never knew that was a common problem. I tried agile messenger and it reconnected, but it wasn't worth $30/yr for me. I liked im+ cause the affordable price. I emailed shapeservices, they were unaware about it being a problem.
Thanks for the suggestion Papamopps, I tried octrotalk, I had some issues with it. When I deleted it, it left some weird contact information on my buddylist when I continued using im+. It left screennames@aim.octro.net. for all my buddies. I was hoping that this im+ issue could have been resolved because I'm cheap...haha...seriously.;)

does anyone know of another app other than agile and IM+ that has a display in the today screen (shows how many people online, and how many messages you have.)? That is a must have for me. I've had too many problems with agile, and the IM+ interface bothers me for some reason.
