Keypad disappears

After I enter the phone number and press the call key, the keypad disappears and I have to tap the left bottom key on the screen to resume the keypad. Can someone advise me how to retain the keypad all the time as I need the keypad frequently while making a call.

Don't dial a number! :) sorry bro..don't know a work around for that! guess the idea is to have the 'In-call' functions on screen as soon as u place a call! Cheers
