O2 Mini English ROM > Chinese ROM

Hi all,

I have an O2 Mini and now I'd like to pass it to my dad. However, I must change its ROM from english to chinese beforehands.

I tried to do a search here before asking, but most of them indicated only changing from other langauges to english but not the way I needed.

Can anyone please tell me how it can be done in detail (like step by step) as I'm not quite an IT guy.

Any help is much appreciated.

U can download the O2 mini chinese rom in xda ftp, and run romupdate with no pain.

not possible. My friend tried to flash a Chinese Mini O2 with an English ROM (with NoID upgrade utility), yet it fails.
I don't know why...

Anyone have a better idea how to flash different language?

How does it fail specifically? Does the flasher report an error on the computer or does the Mini fail to start, or such?

basically, it just did not start. error with country code not found or something like that" any idea is appreciated.

You mentioned using the NoID upgrade utility. You did try it at least three times in sucession, right? The NoID supposedly only kicks in after the second or third attempt to upgrade.

That 's right, I used the NoID ROM upgrade...with 1st attempt failed and I continue with 2nd attempt, also failed :(

copy the file "enterBL" into yr device and run it , will become boot mode and upgrade the CHT 2003 SE Version ..:D
