Internet Explorer Lag - Setting DNS advice in FAQ

I've been experiencing the lag in browsing mentioned in the FAQ for the hermes:

There is a long delay while PIE display's a message 'Locating' - this last's about 30 seconds before the web page is displayed.


Put a hardcoded DNS server in network configuration instead of getting it by dhcp.

I've found the settings pages to let me alter this but I have no idea on what to enter in them!

Can anyone help? I couldn't find anything in teh networking forum for this.

I also have this problem. Not 30 seconds, just 3 or 4 seconds. (Also on T-Mobile).
You can try another DNS server, google for one. I have no idea what is a fast reliable DNS server.
