Hi everybody!
What happen with ftp server?
I can not access to ftp server to download file
any new username or password?
I need to download new rom for universal device but i tried to many time, still can not get in.

Well I still don't have a problem.

We read you, its been reported in the moderator section and yes it does happen to others (even mods). So its being looked into.

Found out why the downloads dont work...

bloddy Peer Guardian 2 blocked it!!!

Guys PLEASE give us a break, FTP dont work helps us in no way to try and resolve the problem if there is any.

I Have read most of the posts and each time I go to the ftp I get on it, can browes and in short dont see a probelm, and this I post.

Now I do belive that some of you are having a problem as it has even happend to other moderators. But we need info to work with.

Things like what time you tried (so we can look at logs)
What client you are using (as in is this cuteFTP which is what is posted in wiki as a good choice)
Did you try to connect wirth a browser using the root (and the password) of the wiki ftp page.
Do you get an error if so what is it.

Else the only answer I can give anybody is

And ? works for me!

And this is not the type of answer I like giving as this is a community of peple that are willing to help.

I just connected with SmartFTP 2.0 and as always could get in
So I closed it and tried it again and got a abnormal program abort.

I'm expierencing the same problem, lately I'm not able to log in. It isn't problem of settings because earlier everything worked and I haven'y changed anything. I thought my passive connection is problem but I tried to connect at friend's house with public IP - the result was the same
Bullet Proof FTP v2.43 (log and pass "xda")
Connecting to xda-developers.com port 21
Connected, waiting for response...
Server closed control connection.
Delaying for 10 seconds before reconnect...

Sorry, I couldn't find your ipaddr. from the PM in any of the logfiles. Not of the ftp, not in the firewall... nothing. As if the connection never happened :-(

Could you describe what happened exactly and how the problem manifested?

I found solution :D maybe it'll help others also
instead of typing xda-developers.com in adreess box try to put their's ip 82.94.251.233
dunno how it is possible but i'm happy :D
