can someone talk me though how to set up a connection between my pc and my TYTN, the pc recognises the TYTN and visa versa, but when i press connection via bluetooth. a dialogue box appears with the message", cannot find an existing bluetooth partnership" but i have already set up a partnership. and i can see it on the phone. i think it may have something to do with the fact that my bluetooth software only has com port 17 ,18, and the TYTN only has access to 0 - 9.

Right this is ever so easy but not many people know how to do it.
First off, you need to find out what port your bluetooth serial port is. To do this, go to control panel > Bluetooth Configuration > Local Services tab and look in the window and find Bluetooth Serial Port and look to the right to see what com port it is. Probably Com5.
You now need to open activesync on the PC and go to File > Connection Settings, In there you need to tick "Allow Connections on one of the Following" and use the drop down box to find the com port that we just found out in bluetooth configuration.
Now you need to remove all pairing of your TyTN and Laptop on both your Device and PC.
After they have been removed go to activesync on your TyTN and select connect via Bluetooth, You will get the message pop up saying cannot find exsisting partnership etc, and press yes.
Search for your laptop and proceed to pair it until the last page, where you NEED to tick the box which reads "Activesync".
Once that has done, then go back to Activesync on your device and press connect via bluetooth.
All Done :) Your device should now sync via bluetooth fine. :)

I would do the pairing from the phone itself. After the ActiveSync has been installed on the computer and you initiate the pairing with your phone (Start->Settings->Connections->Bluetooth->Devices -> New Partnership) the phone should find your computer. Choose the computer and click Next on the phone. On the next screen, your phone should display the services available on the computer and one of the services should be ActiveSync. Just check that and click finish.
At some point, you will be asked to enter the pin code.
Then I'd switch the bluetooth off and back on on the phone and the connection should happen.
