Before I could leave it on all the time but yesterday I must of made 2 short calls all day and by the end of the day it was dead. I didnt have wi-fi on, listen to music, browse the internet nothing. Just a few texts and two short calls.
Its ever since I started using wi-fi the battery power doesnt seem to last now.
Do you think if I go into the t-mobile shop and complain they will give me a new one or would I be wasting my time?

Does it do the same after a hard reset, w/o installing anything / ever starting Wi-Fi?
I think it's a plain software / settings problem. Lithium-based batteries only start to (visibly) die after 2-3 years - not after some months.

As has also been pointed out in some of my posts / articles (see for example the ones at http://www.pocketpcthoughts.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=51577 ), laptop batteries can NOT be compared to Pocket PC batteries because the former have a MUCH bigger load than the latter, which does result in a greatly reduced battery life overall.
Current PPC batteries last for at least 2 years.

try this,
go to settings, connections tab, and select WIRELESS LAN. Then in the wlan menu, select the POWER MODE tab and shift it to BEST BATTERY...
this should save some juice
