Hello all,
I recently had to reformat my 2GB SD card, and now it only shows up as a 1GB. I have low-level formatted the card as well as all the standard formatting methods... Is there something I should know about these?
It's a Sandisk.

There are fake cards on sales these days. They changed the `section` of the card to make it appeared 2GB on a 1GB card. I can't remember formatting the card will make remove this `section` or not.
Anyway, have you ever had more than 1GB of stuff in your card? Although these cards can report 2GB, it will cause error when you have data of more than the actual capacity (eg more than 1GB on a fake-2GB-1GB card). If you did have more than 1GB stuff on this card before, probably you need to find some other method of formating it (card reader? FAT system?)

Interesting. Formatting it from Linux would only give me 1GB, but when I put it back in the PocketPC, it formatted to 2GB just fine. And yes, I had put more than 1GB of data on it before. Well, thanks for the suggestions, and I guess this case is closed :)
