You can change the jogger settings in Settings>Volume Strip Settings. Personally before I put a new ROM on I enabled the Jogger as a scroll and app launcher, kinda stupid in my opinion (and many others) to use it as a volume slider.

Ummm I see what your saying, I think you would need to use some registry keys and edit the registry. Let me see what I can do.
With registry editor you need to set:
* HKCU\ControlPanel\JogBar\Settings\BottomKeyApplica tionName = \Windows\iexplore.exe
... to convince bottom key of the JOGGR to invoke Pocket Internet Explorer (or if you want your email you would place email in here or whatever other app you want to open)
* HKCU\ControlPanel\JobBar\Settings\TopKeyApplicatio nName = BACK
... to convince top key of the JOGGR to perform "back" function while Internet browsing
* HKCU\ControlPanel\JogBar\Settings\SwitchToAudioFun c = 0
... to make it possible to scroll through web pages by touching JOGGR like you do for example in touch pads in notebooks

You'll have to download a registry editor. There are many out there such as: Total Commander, PHM Reg Edit, Resco Registry Editor (my favorite). You can download these at http://dashapps.googlepages.com. Once you've installed the registry editor, you'll see these different keys that jdog listed. It shouldn't be too difficult. Let us know if you run across any problems.

or if you have the new rom 6.1 then it should have a registry editor under tools.

i have found out the editor it looks easy...
you told me to use this comand
* HKCU\ControlPanel\JogBar\Settings\BottomKeyApplica tionName = \Windows\iexplore.exe
in the registry editor in the box should i put :
a)\Windows\iexplore.exe
or
b)Windows\iexplore.exe
with or without the first slash?
jdoggraz
12th May 2008, 08:51 AM
with the slash but if you want to run the email or whatever then replace it with the email application path cause the one you have up there will start internet explorer I believe.

if you want email it would be tmail.exe

I just recently updated my Dash to 6.1 and I LOVE it. But! Is there any way I can keep my Jogger on to scroll but turn it off in calls because it will always turn down the volume on me. Any help would be great!
Thanks.

On the right-hand side of the screen (main Excalibur screen), there is a search link. This is an issue that has been discussed before in previous threads, so try the search feature. You should find what you're looking for. :)

You sure about that? I just entered "JOGGER" into the search and it pulled up a wealth of info. Try again.

First of all, I must say that this is a great utility. I haven't seen anyone on this thread lately but I will go ahead and ask this question that I have which, I believe, has been asked but for which I could not find an answer. I'm using this on Kavana's latest rom (which works great :)) and am wondering if I can use the top and bottom buttons as right and left keys. The default on Kavana's rom is top key:back and bottom key:celetask.exe.

Ok, the last few days my jogger bar will NOT turn off. I will go into settings. Turn it off. Will be ok for few mins then it's back on again... I just want to turn it off because of it turning down my incall volume. I don't care about the scroll anymore. I just want it off lol. Any ideas of what it could be?

I'm having the same issue. I've even tried tapping mulitple times, etc. I've also tried changing many of the settings with the JOGGR utility and gone as far as to change registry settings (EnableRingVolumeMute = 1) manually with no success.
This is a feature I used frequently on my official Tmobile WM6 ROM and I hope to get it back. Does anyone know how to fix this issue?

when i go to settings opn my phone... hit more twice, then hit number 3, I can configure the JOGGR> There is an option there called "Top key application name" and the default option ... i guess... says "BACK" now i do notice that whenever im at the home screen, i hit the top key twice and it does go back... Is there anyway to configure this to my own shortcut? Does it have to do with the "Top key application parameter"? It is set to "NULL" Bottom key app name is "CeleTask.exe" and the parameter is "1052,1003"
I'm guessing that you can customize both the top and the bottom of the JOGGR to open up/execute certain functions... I think it would be a sweet deal to double tap the top JOGGR and open up internet explorer... maybe the bottom JOGGR button to open up my instant messenger...
Maybe... Any input?

Hey Mikey,
Not sure whom your read post #37 comment was directed at, but post #37 didn't seem very helpful lol
I'm having an issue where the Joggr will turn itself back on randomly, but when I check the jogbar settings, it's still showing as disabled. The only fix is to reboot the phone. I don't mind rebooting once a day, but now it's starting to happen multiple times a day and it's getting really annoying.

^^^^^ Almost right!......The universal answer to this thread is as follows:
Enable silence option in the JOGGR settings menu
Simply Double Tap on the slider when someone calls
The ringer will mute.
I think originally, this feature was set to silence the ringer by simply touching or sliding the JOGGR. The Double Tap is much better in avoiding accidental ringer mute.

Why does my JOGGR bar randomly freak out on me? Randomly scrolling up and down at inopportune times. I have to lock and then unlock my phone for this to cease.

Mine turns on by itself aswell even when turned off in options, have set the JOGGER bar to Adjust Volume as at least the panels don't flip out if JOGGER kicks in.

Set JOGGR to Function: Adjust Volume "Disable" and then soft-reset, this should sort the problem @ least it does for me and other XDA users.

I have rickys 6.1 and everything works great the only thing is with the silence ringer on the joggr in the tmobile rom you could silence the ring by sliding on the joggr but in this version you have to tap it twice which barely ever works for me , does any have any idea how to make it the old way by sliding? thanks
