Hi Guys,

I want to buy a phone that I can install TomTom on ... I am thinking of the XDA Mini S.

Can anybody tell me if the Mini S is ok to use with TomTom (performance etc) and if so what are the better GPS receivers out there to use?

Thanks.

yes mate. i have a xda mini s and ttn5 with bt77 gps. works perfect. in summer i drove 3500 miles across europe and did not trouble me once. the only thing is avoid picking calls during navigation as it loses gps memory and it is a pain in the a**e to pair it.

last month i fixed ttn5 on mate's minis and so far he hasnt had any troubles.

for the last two days im trying to get ttn6 and will try it then...

I am using TomTom 6 on an o2 XDA mini and have seen no problems. I can take calls while navagating using hands free and the navigations continues minus the voice prompts. The phone itself is fantastic, unless you try to run lots of things at once, but I have never had a problem with processing speed.

I think you might be a bit mixed up with your thoughts though as the XDA mini is not a GPS receiver, nor does it contain one. You have to buy a separate bluetooth GPS receiver.

Hope that helps.
