Dear friends,

I have read on all the review about the Prophet and in any place is written that Prophet has wifi b/g.
On the box of my model (qtek s200) is written only WIFI B (but on the review is written wifi b/g).
I have tested it and mine doesn't have wifi g.
Is that a review error or is an issue of my model?
Thanks in advance.

All prophets have the hardware capability of having wifi G. However, on some models, the software limits this use. The Qtek S200 in some countries has ONLY B.

However, this is not to worry. There are two ways you can activate G in your Prophet.

1) Install the activation hack (same for Wizard, you can find it here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=254420&highlight=wifi+g+hack)
2) Install an entirely new ROM. (this might take more time and expretise, but you can find guides for this on this forum). It should also give you overall speed improvement.

Enjoy.

I have updated my rom to the 'new' Dopod rom (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=264507).
Does that already have the G enabled or is it still a good idea to run the cab you have linked? I couldn't find it anywhere within my prophet which was on (b or g).

I think you are safe with the new Dopod ROM. To test G, turn your router to G-Only mode, and see if the Prophet connects. If it does not, than run the additional cab.

Cheers.
