Problem Quality Wifi V1605 Vodafone Spain

I have recently bougth a v1605 and the quality of wifi is poor, about 7 mts. I changed for another one in the shop, but the problem is the same. I compared with a TNyT of a friend, and the quality signal was pretty good. Do you know if this a general problem of v1605 in Spain, or Vodafone has modified something in this machine? Some solutions will be apreciated! Thanks

AFAIK wifi tx power and antenna gain should be the same in all devices, but I've heared the same complain from other Vodafone Spain v1605 owners.

I suggest installing wififofum (http://www.aspecto-software.com/rw/applications/wififofum/) on both HTC TyTN and v1605 devices and compare SNR (Signal / Noise ratio) and RSSI values having one device next to the other.
