Can't change registry

Hi, when I change my registry and then do a softreset the changes are back to the original values. I try to change some settings to speed up my device, the screen and transfer to the sd-card.
I use both Total Commander and PHM RegistryEditor.
I can do the changes but after the softreset everything is changed back to the original value.

Do you exit PHM RegEdit by the menu, Tools -> Exit?

Do you exit PHM RegEdit by the menu, Tools -> Exit?No I exit by clicking on the X.
But it's OK now: I waited a little longer before I did the softreset. Maybe there's a sort of backup mechanism which takes a while to update?
