First of all, which headset are you using?

Just overclock to 260MHz and it is all nice and perfect..

Of course, some had issues with the headset model.. Mine is the itech S35.. no skipping issues but some quality issues..

Look for OMAPscaler or OMAPclock in this forum... This app will allow you to overclock the OMAP processor used in the Wizard... The Battery Status plugin is a Today plugin which shows battery status plus the current clock speed on the Today screen. One tap on the plugin can revert the clock speed back to original or to the one you have set..

Hope this solves your issue, maybe, we can then discuss about the quality issue... high pitch ringing...
