Couple of Q's With WM5 - Blueangels

I've upgraded my dads blueangel to wm5 at his request.
I've noticed now instead of a nice splash screen I get the 3 solid colour bars, and at the bottom it says:

G None
R None
Then the current wm5 version.

It then goes into wm5.

Comparing this to my Wizard, I've got version numbers in all 3 fields.
Help?

Soft reset the device, then the GSM part of the phone will have enough time to boot up.
The coloured bar screen is unnavoidable.

I installed that package 1.15 I think, whichever the latest Radio is, and now it populates the two fields.
