I'm sure _I_ cannot watch TV on _your_ phone as we're not even in the same country.

Hell... this forum going down the drain. A big percentage of the people joining currently only start threads which are answered a hundred times already... most often not even a specific topic (being much worse than in this thread). This a developer forum (hence the name!), not a "I'm a goddamn noob, much too lazy to read a thing... you all GOT TO help me. You owe me, you know." forum - well, it was.

Can you watch TV on your phone..... live tv.... hmmm.... where would you stick the ariel (answers on a post card please). IF you have a data package, maybe you could find an internet TV streaming site, not sure of the power of the device to do that though.

As for downloading footage, I have heard of this thing called the "internet" I think you can download lots of things from there.

Good luck!

WelshDragon, ignore the gripers, welcome to the forum. And in fact, contrary to what they say, you can watch live TV on your phone with Slingbox, see http://www.slingmedia.com/indexa.php , although I do not believe the European version has been released yet. I use it here and it works a treat. Also, check out sites like http://www.cbs.com/ , from where you can watch streaming video of complete shows. Also check out http://youtube.com/.

Check out orb.com I use it with TCPMP on my phone. I use orb with a TV tuner in my computer to stream my cable and movies to myself. Orb can explain how to do this in detail. Hope this helps.

While the above posts are valid, just remember that if you are using a GPRS connection or any other Pay system for internet, your costs are going to be a drawback.

I am sure I will be corrected if I am wrong, but I don't think there is yet a hardware TV solution in the MiniSD card format. The ones I have seen are on a full size SD card.

And also, welcome to the forum. Like you, we all started out as newcomers and yes, many of us, including me, used the search functions and just didn't have the time to wade through all the results. It's very daunting at the start.

All I will say on the matter is, try to search but if you don't find an answer, post a new thread. Just include, "I have searched but......" in it. If you have tried, fair enough.

Skype works fine on my Wizard, which has a miniSD card. Not sure why the card would make a difference, Skype recommends that the software be installed on the device, not on the storage card. Skype works OK with Edge or even GPRS connection, although of course much better with wi-fi. I have unlimited data with T-Mobile, but you are correct that if data is limited the extra costs could be significant if you watch a lot of TV.
