Does BBConnect work on hw6500 series?

Has anybody successfully installed and used the Blackberry connect software on the hw6515? The IT folks at my work only support the Blackberry email...

They never released a stand alone product for general pocket pc installs. For some reason they stop developing Blackberry connect after a weak launch a couple years ago. (not sure what happened) I think most people use the built in exchange active sync, or use GoodLink these days.
