Hi there y'all,
my xda neo / Prophet is always blinking green while he has got an telephone-connection with my provider and i hate that blinkin light, especially in my bedroom.
Has anyone got an idea how to disable this? Is there any possibility via Registry?
Thanks for any help!

Try
HKLM\Drivers\BuiltIn\AllLEDMgr\Index
change the value to 0

I used LED Toggle which I attached. It works fine.
You do have to watch out though: disconnect your phone from power or your computer before you activate it. Using it once stops the light and using it again turns it back on.
It looks like the effect is gone after a softreset.
And another thing: some hours after using it my phone didn't respond at all for a few minutes. The only solution was a soft reset. This has happened several times now and when I keep the light on it seems to be working normal again. I don't know if it's just my Prophet but if you encounter the same problem we know where it's coming from.

Thanks Jay, your little program works perfect. I'll see if i'll get the same problem and report it here
niketkumar, thanks for your help. I first try Jays Software, if i get the same problems i'll use your registry hack.
Thanks to both of you from my girlfriend, too - cause now it's less greener in our bedroom :)

So? Any news?
I stopped using the software and my phone hasn't crashed once. How's yours behaving?

Had the exact same problem, when using LED Toggle my device occasionally hangs. Since I stopped using it everything works just fine..

Man, that just sucks. I was so happy to be rid of that stupid light.
Now about that registry hack. I can find everything up to "\builtin" but the rest (AllLEDMgr\Index) doesn't exist. Do I have to create a new folder with an index file which has the value set to 0 or what?

Don't remember if I've tried the registry hack mentioned above, but I followed the thread about this issue in Modaco and tried numerous registry hacks before ending up with the only solution (that I'm aware of) that currently seems to work.
Which, unfortunately is the LED Toggle attached above, which in hand makes your device quite unstable..
So, back to the drawing board guys - hope someone finds a solution!

Just checked the corresponding thread on Modaco (http://www.modaco.com/index.php?showtopic=243948&st=0) and indeed this solution is not working flawlessly on our beloved Prophets..

Why not just place it face down on your dresser at night?

this has to be one of the dumbest comments i ever got in an professionals-board.
Jayxz, any of the workarounds i found generated problems so i just painted the light black. Not really the best solution but it sucked so badly :)

I find the green light annoying too, but i'd still like to have the orange warning when i received a msg or missed a call....
I hope that somebody could find a working solution for this :)

You can try the attached File i found at the MoDaCo Forum.
It works on my Prophet but some Users told that it drains the Battery

i tried this one but a taskmanager shows that ~10% cpu-usage is caused by this tool :(
