Fast smartphone or pocket pc for realtime en- decoding for GSM-Data channel

Hi,

I search a fast smartphone or pocket PC for real time sound application.

I want to compress audio frames to bandwidth smaller than 9 KBit/s (for
the GSM data channel). Compressing, decompressing, recording and playing
audio must work synchronous in real time.


Which codec would you use for this?

Which smart phone have this requirements?




Are there smart phones with hardware support for this?


Have anybody experience with this topic?
