You should follow these steps:
1) Turn your device on and connect to your computer. After that - run Step1_Prophet_WM5AKU2.3_lvsw_edition.exe
2) Don't unplag your USB cable. You should wait for splash screen and others dialogs (screen, region ..etc). If you see troubles with codepage - won't be in panick!
3) When you will see the splash screen and when ActiveSync will start to connect, it will ask you some questions. You should answer OK for first question and Cancel for second.(that's why you will be connected as giest)
4) You should run Step2_Prophet_WM5AKU2.3_lvsw_edition.exe and wait about 20 minutes. Attention! You wont see progress bar!
5) When the program write that your device was flashed, you should tap SPACE on your computer and make hardreset for your device.
6) Then you should wait for splash screen and other dialogs. After that you will see the installation of extended rom.
7) Thats gerat! You did it!

Very true.....i had the same problem on charging phone thru USB with AKU 3.2 beta and yesterday i downgraded to 2.3 ROM.....
I observe a very small problem with 2.3 ROM...that when i get diff. lang for option Set as Ringtone (using File explorer) when i select a media file ...anyone has an idea on how to put this in english...

I am currently have O2 Neo Xda pda-phone. I am using it with English language, and it is working ok (a little bit slow, but ok).
My settings are:

OS: 2.15.13.27

(So, this is G4)

This is SIM Unlocked phone (I am not sure regarding CID unlock, I don't know how to check).

I would like to upgrade to faster ROM, but I would like to keep current languages and if possible to add Hebrew fonts (any ideas?).
Voice dialing that I have right now is another important features.

So, here are the questions (btw I tried to read different posts, but still not clear)

1. Should I choose 2.3 or 3.2? Cons/Pros - any risks?
2. Should I first downgrade to RUU_Prophet_2151327_21513121_021921_DOP_ASIA_WWE_S hip-NoVendorID.zip and for what if (at all)
3. If something going wrong, how I could could roll back? Should I prepare for this something in advance?
4. Extended ROM. Which one you suggest to pick (for both 2.3 or 3.2) and what is giving to me.

I know that probably most of questions are already answered in different post, but please help me. I am a little bit afraid to do it, so confirmation and suggestion will be highly appreciated.

You have to follow carefully and precisely the procedure explained in the other thread. DON'T DO ANYTHING between both updates, just disconnect, hard reset and reconnect on"align" for second update.
Try downloading the files again, just in case!

Ok. I disconnected USB and did hard reset. While booting I reconnected USB. Activesync connects as GUEST and PDA remains in "align screen". I then launch UPGRADE_ROM.bat. Is there anything else I should do?

I've been using Adobe for over 1 year now. It has a reflow function which allows you to view the PDF file in a single column. No need to sideways scroll. It's freeware!

BTW lvsw, which version of the parent PDAmobiz_AKU2.3 are these based on? Is the v20061112 also default (12MB) pagepool?

MMS auto-disconnect does not seem to work in the latest AKU 2.3 update...
with the stock dopod rom, gprs connection was disconnected as soon as the mms was sent... now it stays connected.

Is there a registry hack to enable the auto-disconnect for mms-gprs connection?

Yes, pikoman is correct. All the WWE ROMs should be 2.15.13.27 based. It's the AKU & the builds that are diff. Go to settings->system->about. This is where you can see the details of the ROM

no it doesn't, same thing happens.
I managed to get pass it by running the unlockcid file and then running the update, clicked close a few time and it carried on upgrading the OS. The only problem was it didnt install the copy over the extrom.

yep, same error on my prophet.
I think it's because the NO VENDOR ID update utility.
It works fine with the update utility from the SWE rom update, but stops before clearing the rom because the vendor ID (qtek) is not the same (dopod)

New ExtRom, New SPL (2.20.000x), New Radio 2.47.21 and corrected OS image. But if u have Radio 2.47.21 and SPL 2.20 u update only Step2_Prophet_WM5AKU2.3_lvsw_edition.exe

After checking the image version on my neo as 1.2.0.0 it gives error 238 file read.. can u help please.

Could I apply the method for my G4 CID locked device?

(2.15.0001, 2.15.0001)

Would I later be able to upgrade as well? or becuase it is CID locked only once?

by using the step1 & step2 exe files? I used to use the BAT file to update the old LVSW edition, I m very worry and can any one confirm that I can use these 2 exe file before I flash the ROM?


Update: since no one answer my question, I download the files and found that the STEP2 exe includes the BAT file~
but someone said the new QTEK 2.2 ROm is more stable ... hmmm... who should i trust....

i just update LVSW Rom from 14.11. The Rom works fine. But in comparision with the new Qtek Rom, this Rom still slower than the new Qtek Rom. In my opinion the Qtek Rom is the fastest right now...

you can also unlock the ExtRom folder to delete the CABs inside (after save on you SD Card) and afterwards you also can install programs in it.

After checking the image version on my JAMin the deviceinfo reads:

ROM Version 2.120.7.34 WWE
ROM date 7/10/06

On boot:
IPL 1.0
SPL 2.20.0000
OS 2.20.7.34
GSM 02.47.21


So far its 100%
It’s fast in boot and is free of unneeded utilities. I’ve have gone through a O2 based Rom, and a dopod based rom.

This one seems to be the most stable one.

The file links do not work for this firmware. If there somewhere else I can get this from? My JAMin is locking up all the time and has just came out of warranty.
