It doesn't matter if it's russian, probably contains different bootloader or things you'll need after, the first roms are always the "good ones" for hacking later.

BTW, I have looked through the one you uploaded:
- Bootloader version is 1.02.0001 (Built on Sep 22 2006 at 17:42:09)
- SPL is 1MB and has help and lots of debug info
- ROM format is NBH, but bootloader has command 'wdata' instead of 'wdatah' :confused:
- ExtROM hdrtype is 0x900 like on StarTrk (on Hermes, Artemis, etc it's 0x700)

If you want to flash a new rom, please be patient. I will get this HTC rom and upload in rapidshare.

There is another way, you can keep your current rom and change the language only.

I have to work first! :D

I had download your Russian rom, but it comes with invalid ventor after 2%, did anyone know how to change the ventor ID in rom? because my phone is dead for 1 month since I try to update the WM6 OS rom. or someone can upload the SPINISH, I think it will be should work for me.

OS is actually 5.1.422 (Build 15633.3.2.0) - so i guess this is still not wm6 :(

I have a T-Mobile Wing. they are being tremendously uncooperative. So i wondered if puting a Generic firmware on might do the trick?

upon searching for said firmware i found this thread.. but the link to the Herald download... is empty.:confused:

any help would be greatly appreciated.

i tried downloading it from HTC site. but since it's a 'branded' device it just gives me a message saying the rom is not suitable for my device.

You can't directly flash your phone with that software anyways. And even if you could, there are much better ROMs out there. Try out one of our own ROM's. For example, give JustMe or OpenTouch or something else a try. It will run faster, give you more features and afford you more free memory. But first, read read read.
