Hi Gang -

I was tinkering with my HTC S620 and in the start menu there is a link for the voice speed dial.

I got this clever idea to go into resco explorer, do properties and make it all clear. Then I deleted it. I then copied a shortcut to the new Microsoft Voice Command 1.6 to the start menu and thought I would re-name it to the voice speed dial name. I thought this might make pressing and holding the green phone key launch voice command instead.

Well, silly me---I was in such a hurry to t est my theory I forgot to write down the exact spelling of the voice speed dial link in the start menu.

I must not have it right because now pressing and holding the green key does nothing. BUT I think this is a good sign. I might be a step closer to having the hack for changing the key press to our favorite voice activation software.

COULD SOMEONE WITH AN S620 PLEASE DO ME A FAVOR AND REPLY TO THIS WITH THE EXACT SPELLING OF THE VOICE SPEED DIAL LINK in the default start menu folder in the windows folder?

Much appreciated. I will try and remember to write things down in the future.

in \Windows\Start Menu there is "Speed Dial.lnk" - notepad shows the link to point at: 42#:MSScut?:scutapp

But i think you refer to "Voice Speed Dial.lnk" in \WINDOWS - this points at: 27#"\Windows\activatesapi.exe"

I too am wondering the same thing: which is an appropriate key to remap for VC 1.6. Suggestions would be very much appreciated.

I have VC 1.6 working with my Parrot car kit pretty well. However, when it first connects to the Excalibur there is a loud "thunking" noise. I would like to eliminate this if possible and would appreciate help.
