Screen not switching on!

I have a MDA Vario 2 and experiencing the following problem. When the screen is switched off but the phone is on I am unable to switch the screen back on by pressing the on/off button on the side. I have tried to call myself from my landline but the phone does not ring even though I hear the ringing tone in my landline phone.

I then go on to leave a voice mail message and soft reset the mda phone but I get no notification to indicate a new message has been left.

Anyone else experiencing this? It is so highly annoying as the phone is on but not accepting any calls.

i also have this problem. it is because of the software, installed on the TyTN, but i don't know which one
