Hello guys
Please help! I've just got my Palm Treo 750v unlocked. The phone works fine on T-mobile but I can't get a GPRS connection. I've tried changing the settings and setting up a new t-mobile GPRS connection but i still can't get it connected.
I seem to have a wap contract connection (I presume this is preinstalled by Vodafone and must be Windows reg related) which always overides when i reboot the Palm.
If you can help I would be really grateful

If you are in UK you are welcome to contact me tomorrow and i'll run through how to set it up. I've got an unlocked 750v running T-mobile and i've had no problems with GPRS or 3G.

I've just got an unlocked Treo 750 and I am on T-mobile. My previous phone (Sony Ericsson k750i) worked fine on the web, but I've got no idea what settings to enter to get on the web on this phone! Can you help? PS I was thinking of trying Opera for browsing but I have not installed it yet.

1) go to start / settings / connections
2) if an existing connection exists click manage existing connections or add a new modem connection
3) if existing connection click edit or tap New
4) enter name - e.g. T-Mobile Inter.
5) select a modem - cellular line (GPRS, 3G)
6) access point name - general.t-mobile.uk
7) user name - t-mobile
8) password - one2one
9) click finish
you should be good to connect now
btw - you can always call t-mobile for support - they are really helpful

I tried this but after entering the name and modem the Treo asks 'Enter the number exactly as it should be dialed.'. What number do I put in here? I then tried using GPRS instead and I just get 'No modem at the above number.'.

If it is asking for a number, it sounds like you are setting up a WAP connection and not a GPRS connection.

I've unlocked my Cingular Palm Treo 750 and can make voice calls without any problem.
I still can't access the internet.
I've entered the settings and when I launch the browser, it first show 'locating' and then 'opening' in the status bar, but the web page never opens.
I know that with Cingular there were some proxy settings and so I wonder if I need to enter any here.
The proxy fields are:
1. This network connects to the internet
2. This network uses a proxy server to connect to the internet
3. Proxy Server (name)
4. Http:
5. WAP
6. Secure WAP
7. Socks
