After searching around here for a couple of hours I have one question: how much of this generic looking upgrade stuff applies to the Apache?
I have a PPC6700 with the Sprint AKU2 update, 2.06 with 1.12 radio. I want to get everything as current as possible.
How do I go about adapting the Telus, Alltel, etc. roms for the Apache to install on the Sprint Apache?

newest ROM available here (http://www.utstar.com/pcd/downloads/APA_SPCS_20600_303_12700_WWE_Ship.exe).
this is for sprint.
couple of specs....
• SD performs PRL match by matching only SID/NID and Mode for acquired signal/system.
• PRL roaming bug fix.
• DDTM turned off allowing voice call through when in a data session.
• Push-mail, voice call fix. The voice call is rejected when CE application attempted outgoing data packets. However, a 2nd voice call attempt would go through.
• Wireless Data Roaming - Support of data roaming on device
• Voice call termination will not drop tethered data session.
• Conference calling from Contacts fix.
• Intellisync lock-up fix.
• Radio Version 1.27

I would love to get into the AKU 3.x series of CE Rom images, but everytime i flash any 3.x AKU i get the camera flash stuck on, and a blank screen. I have a feeling its just drivers that are trying to load at boot or something of that sort...
is there any way to get the 6700 drivers ported over to AKU 3.x ? if anyone can give me a starting point, im willing to fry phones to see this through. Thank you!

Just picked up one of these phones today, from SaskTel. If I upgrade to one of the Sprint/other ROMS am I going to run into issues with my phone becoming locked to the new rom's network?
I'm a long time HTC Himalaya user and I've never run into that problem before, however, I've heard these CDMA phones are different.
Anyways, any help anyone can offer, in my quest to make this phone perform at a comparable level to the Himalaya, would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.
