I have a huge really really huge problem my phone is dead.
I have a v1605 buyed in england and i'm from italy and yesterday i had problem after an hard reset the audio was not working anymore so i decided to put a new rom to solve the problem.I cheked my bootloader and was 1.04 so i unlocked my pda and i was able to load i-mate rom on my pda but i still having my problems with audio. So i tried with a newer version of imate rom but this time with bootloader 1.06 inside and i started to load on my tytn but unfortunatly during the operation i disconnect accidentaly the usb from the tytn so the computer stop the new rom istallation and now my tytn is dead with booatloder 1.06 without operating system and i can see only the bootloader page and i can't load any roms cause of the bootloader...Please help i'm desperete thinking to trow away from the windows my tytn.

why don't you try to flash i-mate rom with bootloader 1.04 again and downgrade the bootloader? it should take it as you have i-mate bootloader 1.06 on it and the CID should be the same.
with that said, i am not sure what audio problem you had but it sounds like that was not due to the rom as you could not solve it even after successfully flashing the i-mate rom. it could be a hardware problem but i don't know.

Flashing a ROM doesn't mean the CID on your device will be switched or changed to the CID on the ROM, it will stay the same.
If he CID-unlocked with 1.04 before flashing his CID is "SuperCID" and should have no problems to flash any other ROM (no matter bootloader version).
However if he did not CID-Unlock it first the CID on his device is the original CID of a UK v1605: "VODAP001" (and there's no shipped rom available with this CID yet), so he will not be able to flash anything until a rom upgrade with his CID is available.

understand pof. then, would the purched unlocker from imei-check will be able to do the trick and downgrade the bootloader to 1.04 and make it SuperCID?

No, because imei-check unlocker needs wince to transfer the "fake" bootloader to the phone via an activesync connection first, and he's stuck in bootloader mode and can't boot to wince to enable activesync.
He didn't report if 'set 14 0' makes it boot to wince however, i guess he did not read the wiki before posting ;)

thanks pof... it's not my problem but i hope he reads this and the wiki and take your advices from here. if it doesn't boot to wince, he won't be able to do anything until a rom upgrade with his CID is available.

read the wiki on upgrade problems and check if your device can boot to wince. if it can, there's a hope...

His case is similar to me before.
The device was disconnected before a WinCE ROM was finished flashing.
I do believe there will be bootloader 1.06 and no CID,
I can't flash anything at that time and believe send to service is the only way, currently. Sad to tell you this.
My case is the distributor replace the mainboard for me,
and I now flashed a SuperCID for safety.
