Hi:
Does the xda-developers' Wizard unlocking utility work with the Excalibur/DASH?
I'm only interested in SIM-unlocking.
Failing that, what's the e-mail address that you used to contact T-Mobile to request a SIM-unlock code?
Thanks for any help.

Please do a search--there is no free unlocker available yet for the Dash. You can get the device commercially unlocked from imei-check.co.uk for about $38 or you can CALL T-Mo for an unlock code. The email address for unlock requests at T-Mobile stopped working years ago.

Thanks for the info re: the old TMo address not working.
I did do a search. Thanks so much for the tip.
I have used imei-check.co.uk twice before.
I was looking for a non-$38 option.

If you have service with T-mobile, call them and they will give you the code in less than two days. I just got mine today.

I used this (http://wiki.howardforums.com/index.php/Unlocking_T-Mobile_Handsets) to send an email to T-Mobile and got my Nokia 6030 unlocked.
This information is from www.howardforums.com T-Mobile WiKi.

Thanks for that link. I didn't know about the new email address to get an unlock code. The old one was SIMUnlock@voicestream.com but of course there is no more VStream :)

If you are a T-mobile customer they will send you the unlocking code for free usually in a day or two if you have been with them for longer than 90 days.
With regards to the email address for t-mobile- I went on the website and contacted them through the website and got a reply from here: customercare@t-mobilesupport.com
They asked me for the following information:
1. Mobile Number
2. PIN CODE/ LAST 4 SS#
3. IMEI (DAIL *#06#)
4. EMAIL
5. MAKE AND MODEL
Once I replied back with the needed info they opened an unlock ticket with their unlocking department and in a day they sent me an email with the unlock code.
Most carriers now will send you the unlock code for free so check with your carrier if you are not with T-mobile
Hope that helps :)
