I have both the MDA (Wizard) and 8525 (Hermes). I have a couple of charger accessories for the MDA as follow:

1) AA battery charger: use regular AA battery to power the MDA
2) iGo portable charger: this is a multiple devices charger that can charge different devices, such as iPod, MDA, PSP, etc. just by changing the adaptor "tips". (http://www.igo.com)

The question is: can I use the above MDA charger accessories with my 8525?

I checked both the MDA and Hermes original charger and both have the same OUTPUT rating: 5V - 1A LPS. So theoritically, if I use the MDA charger accessories, it shouldn't damage the 8525 since they all have the same outpot rating.

I am not very knowledgeable on AC/DC, so I am posting this thread.

FWIW, I'm using my charging accessories from my Apache without problems so it should be fine since they have the same power output specs.

Uprey,

Just to confirm: when you said "accesories", are you referring to things such as charger using AA batteries, mult-devices charger, etc?

I know that both the original Wizard and Hermes chargers have the same voltage output rating (5 volt - 1 Amp) and most probably works well. It's the "accessories" that I am most concerned about, especially since they didn't show the power output rating.

I'm using my spare Apache battery, car charger, AC charger, and usb cables. I don't have a AA battery charger so I can't comment there.

I use the travel charger from my Blackberry(!) for my TyTN. So long as the output is 5V and at least 0.5 amps and the connector is the mini-USB, it is fine. Less than 0.5A wont charge the TyTN. Even at 0.5A, you cant charge the TyTN if the screen is on. Works fine with the screen off. The BB charger is rated at 5V and 0.5A.
