Changed CID but what happen to TomTom Navigator 6?

Hi all! I recently bought a branded XPA v1605 (TyTN) with QTEK_405 as original CID (Swisscom, italian version). As pre-installed software there was also TomTom Navigator 5 (CH/AT maps only) that I activated using the product code of my new Navigator 6 (W.E. maps), I not installed it before becouse I had to wait for a 1GB microSD to copy the software on (Navigator 6 shipped on miniSD). In the mean time I upgraded the ROM (to 1.18.255.3) and unlocked CID (now 'SuperCID'). After installing Navigatior 6 the activation process hangs becouse the device ID has changed (had to ask TomTom to kinldy give me a new activation code depending on the new device ID). I think that such device ID depends (also) on the CID.

So, the question: If I want to upgrade to a new ROM (eg. 1.18.416.1 or 1.35.255.2), does the CID change or still remain 'SuperCID'? If not I don't think that TomTom will give me another activation code... With ROM 1.18.416.1 (which uses bootloader 1.06) it is not possible to load the patched radio ROM to change CID, I'm right?

- If you used unlocker v1 you will be back to your original CID after flashing any ROM.
- If you used unlocker v2a your CID will remain SuperCID forever.

With ROM 1.18.416.1 (which uses bootloader 1.06) it is not possible to load the patched radio ROM to change CID, I'm right?
Right, you need bootloader 1.04 to flash a radio rom (patched or unpatched doesn't matter).

Stange, on dutty's v2 and lvsw and maybe other upgrades it is the same issue. Changed Device Code for TomTom. Now the TomTom Activation Code doesn't match anymore. Does anybody know why? What can we do?:o

Very much looking for an answer on this, too. I just upgraded to Black 2.5 and have the same issue with TomTom 6.

Had the same problem with TT6 after upgrading to Black2.5

Tomtom provided a new activation code for TT6 and the original map without problem, but I can't get the latest map update to activate despite a load of emails between myself and TT support. They even had me update the core software to a newer version (version 6.030). Just waiting for a reply from '2nd level' support - I really dont understand the issue, I think all I need is a new code.

They had me jump through a few hoops when I asked about a new code for the map update too, wanted a proof of purchase for WM6. Seemed happy enough with a photo of the device info screen.

I am also having the same problem
I cant use any of the paid for services for tomtom plus cams traffic e.t.c

using black 2.5
been fine with every rom up till this it thinks I have a whole new phone with new device code too.

I've got the same problem...
After a bunch of emails, TT support told me that this is the reason they don't list the TyTN as a "compatible device".

Bummer... I have Plus services untill may 2008. Another 40 Euro down the drain... not to mention the 125 Euros I spent on TomTom 6...

I'm tempted to stroll the internet for a "semi-legal" solution ;)
