Ok i am going to start a list of roms that dont have the IPL/SPL included that can be flashed to the G4 type devices

MrClean_RUU_WIZARD_224a_AKU23_WWE is also runs on G4 locked wizards. but it's not makes me happier, cuz not one of AKU3.x does flash.

This will help the Guru's determine if there's a compatability issue with the higher ipl/spl devices. (it appears some G4 devices can be upgraded, while others might not be able to. :( )

Running RUU_Molski.Biz_226102_22610105_022511_G4_WWE-30MB now without any problems. The newer Molski rom gave a compatibility error when I tried to flash.

Found out the reason that the 3rd Edition of Molski didn't work was due to the old "ROMUpdateUtility_Wizard_NoID.exe" used by Molski. After I changed it to the newromupdateutility_wizard_noid.exe, it flashed. Well, the Wizard Love ROM mentioned in the first post worked. It's using the new NoID_RUU. My phone has been upgraded to OS 2.26.10.2 AKU 2.3 now.

wizard/ROMS/Other/RUU_Risidoro...

In this folder you have Wizard_Love!

You can install for Extended ROM and Molski too.

IPL/SPL u cant change, because it is with CID Locked.
With Wizard_Love u can change a ROM and with RIsidora u change a extended ROM.
U may change a Radio ROM, now i have 02.47.11

I understand that this should be made in bootloader mode with no IPL/SPL, but question is: where I obtain an official rom without IPL and SPL

Wizard love ROM is working really flawlessly on my G4 CID-locked unit.

I was cursing myself that I should not have trade in my jasjar for a wizard just to have lighter unit. But, with this ROM, I m fully satisfied

I currently have the T-Mobile 2.26 installed and loaded but it doesn't have the proper WM version (15097.3.0.0).

So if the above quoted statement is true.... Are there any ROMs that go beyond this as I need to get WM updated to (15097.3.0.0) instead of the 14000 revision that is included with T-Mobiles ROM.

When you get a new call does it tell you who is calling via your bluetooth headset or via the phone speaker? There is a bug in all WM versions prior to build 15097.3.0.0 that does not allow this bluetooth "Whisper" to work.

Can you tell me what build your O.S. is so I can see if it is different then mine? Mine says:

It seems that g4 cant handle anything that has been edited from the stock rom other than remove the extended rom and add a new one if you install cf2 for example to teh rom it will not uprgade correctly.
The first rom in the group is a stock 2.26 tmob with an extended rom

I have been reading about wizard devices for weeks deciding what I wanted to do, so I just got the latest cingular update. We'll to make a long story short I did every thing I was supposed to launched app. started loading and stoped at 95% with an error. Locked it up on I guess its the bootlader screen red,green,blue it still recognizes my usb but that is it. I'm getting the phone replaced but I want to know what happend or if I can still fix it? I found some good advice today looking aroud, but would like some input if someone has any.:confused:

Ok.. I flashed my phone with this rom, and now it takes about 15 mins to boot up, showes some erors like: "Init_Tray.exe cannot be opened. either it is not signed with a trusted certificate, or one of its components cannot be found.....", also for the Capnotify.exe and WiFiInit.exe ??? also, there is no batery meter, and the phone works (or does not work!?!) like a 286 computer with 16mb ram with windows vista installed! (I know its impossible but...).

Any Ideas ??? PLS ?!?

I've done the same for my CID-Locked G4 Wizard-instructions are in in a doc contained in the archive. So, download from Molski, exract the archive to a folder and you will find the Rom Update Utility(RUUsomething). This, should be in italian language, but you will find out the correct buttons to press, if you compare to the images in the included doc(in english). Make sure your battery is almost full, don't run any applications on your PC(kill any app you don't need, apart from explorer.exe!),disable any screensaver etc(Or move your mouse every some seconds!!!), connect your PPC to the usb, make sure activesync works, and run the RUU. The rest should be easy. After completing the steps on your PC, the flashing process will start, and you will have a progressbar on both your PC and PPC. Maybe it will seem non-responsive for some minutes at 96%-98%. Don't be afraid, just let it continue. Once it finishes, your PPC will restart, and you will be guided through the setup screens of your PPC.

I found the way to flash g4 CID LOCKED device.
I successfully flashed wm6 rom on g4 locked device. All works perfect. So now we can flash every rom we want to CID Locked device :)
If you want i can release my package of some tools (not mine) and write how to do that.

That sounds very interesting. Are you sure that after having flashed a wm6 rom on your CID locked device, your Rom changed? From what i've read in the forums, there is a chance that your Rom is not changed, and your PPC is just hard-reset(which i guess is somewhat similar to having reinstalled the same ROM!). Of course again, i'm not 100%, so it would be very nice from you, if you post more details! ;)

So far I have been successful in installing two WM6 roms on the device. The two roms are PDAviet4 and Wi6ard.zip. Both the roms are on the rapidshare web site.
Wi6ard.zip is the best one. No problems at all. worked flawlessly except for the camera thing but there are alternatives. The Pdaviet rom had a lot of problems on my 8125. I missed callls , had a hard time explaining my GF why I missed calls and where was I when she called ;) While txt messaging the key board is all messed up. When I press 'z' i would get a 'y' and vice versa.
Now the important part. I was able to get both these rom on my 8125 only because of the Shell tool (bug fixed version). It does work. Make sure to copy the enablerapi.cab file on the devie and run it and then reboot before updating the new rom.

Now the important part. I was able to get both these rom on my 8125 only because of the Shell tool (bug fixed version). It does work. Make sure to copy the enablerapi.cab file on the devie and run it and then reboot before updating the new rom.

Can I update someone of this two ROM's PDAviet4 and Wi6ard.zip?
Have I to update another version Rom, before flas with ShellTool?
I am sure of had unblocked the operator Vodafone/movistar. But I do not believe that it has the unblocked CID

Regardless the amazing and extremely great development that mun_rus has given to us (thank you again mun-rus !!) there´s still some ROM´s that haven´t been able to be flashed in G4´s, such is my case with the WM6 Underground.

underground can be flashed using this tool download the fixed version as i tried with the original tool i downloaded on day 1 and that didnt work but can confirm underground runs perfect for me

Thanks for the scoop, in fact I was wondering if the ShellTool version I have was the latest and greatest, this blackout of the xda ftp site is bringing confussion like this having copies of SW in different sites, anyhow I downloaded using the link given for rapidshare of the file named ShellTool_bugfixed.zip then I tried to compare this against the one I had but I couldn´t tell which one is the latest. I´ll give it a try.

I guess I have now the latest ShellTool release, I´ll give it a try, thanks for the information!

Windows Mobile Crossbow: works great!! ;) and after that I have installed
Windows Mobile Crossbow Most Beautiful Edition, just installed it, with ShellTool.
Before upgrading I had some problems caused by myself ;), so I have upgraded from orginal Dutch T-mobile rom, And it seems working "Beautifull".

Only I can not make calls on the moment (to late :) ) but I am on the internet with it, and have called myself.

You will love it, i CID unlocked my devices after i upgraded my ROM. But you can flash it with the shell tool method.

I have cid locked G4 wizard and flashed 'WM6 custom rom' made by farias rom kitchen using shell tool. It was work like a charm. I have use without any probs.

But yesterday I have flashed Most Beautiful ver; using Shell tool and all went OK but It get freezed my PC and Wizard half way.

Now when I am power on, It get stuck on splash screen.
I have tried soft resetting and hard resetting. But no luck.
Still I can go to Bootloader Mode(Multi colour screen).

Please someone help me.

If you can get to bootloader then you dont have a bricked device.

Put your device in bootloader and flash wizardlove or the wm5 rom that your device was orginally shipped with.

NBD series works great. Faria rom (aku 3.3 and aku 4) didnt flash succesfully.In both cases has flashing stoped at 99% with RUU in italian language.
