Please help! Screen problem >_<

I recently aqquired an XDAmini S, and it has been fine up until a couple of days ago, the very center point of the screen (where the first crosshair appears in screen alignment) doesn't respond to touchscreen :( not only does it make playing Mahjonng impossible but it also means I cannot properly align my screen. Any ideas that could help resolve this issue please?

I got the same problem, i don't have a solution but i think it's hardware related. I have a trick to pass the screen alignment, you will have to edit the registry (HKLM\HARDWARE\DEVICEMAP\TOUCH\MaxCalError) originaly is set to 16 (decimal) and i changed it to 40 (decimal) and I get passed the screen alignment also I have cooked my own ROM with that value so I don't get stuck on that step.

Forgot to say that you don't have to tap at the center you should tap at some point near the center. Also your screen won't be aligned very good as the error could be some big.
