I recently bought a v1620 on ebay and as soon as I got it I upgraded to wm5 (Helmi BA WM2k5 AKU3.2 Beta (v.1.3.2 Beta)) now I noticed on it that it says that the processor in it is an intel pxa263 when everywhere I have read says that the v1620 has a pxa270. Could this be due to the upgrade it is somehow telling me the wrong processor or is everywhere else incorrect?
I am pretty sure it is a v1620 and not a VPA III as that is supposed to have a pxa263 processor.
Any help appreciated.

I have a V1620, and that is the correct processor. What are your sources that say PXA270?

Both at pdadb.net and softpedia.com (http://pdadb.net/index.php?m=specs&id=205 and http://mobile.softpedia.com/phones/Vodafone/Vodafone-v1620.shtml) and I have seen it elsewhere. I can't find anywhere saying its a 263 though.
It doesn't really matter to be honest I'm just intrigued.

Maybe their original source was the unwired, where the following correction was posted? http://www.theunwired.net/?itemid=2342
