Hiya,

I think the subject line says it all...

I've got my good 'ol Tomtom navigator 5 running on my Vario just fine.:)

I cannot get it to connect to my GPS unit ( Emtac CruxII BTGPS ((Sirf)):(

I had this all working on my iPaq, although I always had to force the GPS onto NMEA using GPStweak. I could live with that...;)

I've paired succesfully, it shows port 6. ( unsecured )

Sirftweak & TomTom only show ports 0, 1, 2, 3, 4(ir),& 9

No matter what I do I can't connect.

I tried an " interesting " version of iGO and it connected straight away, I would have been very happy with that if I only wanted to navigate anywhere outside the UK. ( The Great Britain map just won't work )

Come on Guys, help or I will destroy the Known Universe ( I'm pissed off )

Cheers

OK, Update...

Updated to TT5.2 and com 6 appeared.. Hooray!

No way to switch over Emtac CruxII to NMEA.. Boo!

I used my 'ol iPAQ and sirftweak to do the change over and it all works..

Now the next problem, the btgps defaults to SiRF after a while.

Sirftweak and cruxview run on the Vario, but can't see port 6.

Does anyone know of a way to do this on the Vario, it seems silly to carry the iPaq about at the same time!

Maybe a command to send via a terminal prog or something????

I know, buy a new NMEA gps.. but where is the fun in that:p

Someone must have got around this one.

Someone........?????

Please.......

...

Got it working at last..

I downloaded cruxview ( I had been using the version from my iPAQ )
again, it has exactly the same version number but the new one can see port 6!

Yay!
