Hi all.
I have an O2 xdaIIi / Alpine with a camera problem. I am hoping that there is a patch or CAB file to fix it but I havent found it yet (yes I have tried searching the forums here and on Buzz's site)

The problem is that when I try to re-assign the camera button to 'none' in the button setup menu it works for a day or 2 and then reverts back to normal camera function. This may not seem too much of a problem but its a works unit and gets chucked in my pocket all day and all sorts of buttons get pressed accidentally. Also when I press the camera button accidentally, sometimes the whole device locks up and I have to reset it - pain in the arse at times especially when running tomtom and internet explorer at same time!

I have a Himalaya for personal use which I never have a problem with

Any ideas
Thanks

Isn't there an option to lock the keys when the device is on standby/unpowered? I have that on, so I've never really experienced any problems of this sort.

you have to go on \windows\autorun and remove a file called camera*.lnk

No the button lock setting makes no difference as that is on anyway but thanks.
Cant find this camera*.ink file either - any more clues as to where it is?

i'm sorry my english is too bad.... in the directory windows\autorun (taht is, auto execution on boot ) there a file called "camera detect.lnk"; this it assigns the function camera at the push-button of the pda.
on my qtek2020i i have assigned "none" to this button, but on reboot the camera returned; just i have removed this link and my camera is not more assigned at this button.

I hope that it is explained to me, salutes
