Unlocking the Cingular 8525

Has anyone done this yet? Either by using sticky-fied tool or by using a commercial crack? I can't even find someone who will SELL me an unlock... I imagine any normally-locked Hermes would be similar but I don't know enough about the process to know if it's that generic.

But it sounds like it requires a couple extra steps for us with the 8525.

I've heard Cingular's fully willing to give out unlock codes, but it takes them 10 days or so to process.
