HI,
Yea most of the housings on ebay are fakes.
They look real, but when you put them on your Magician and want to replace them, they dont come off easily. That is compared to the original ones which do come off easier.

The only original housing i know is the imate-Jam covers that come with the JAM as a spare, they are indeed 100% athuthentic. Try look for people selling them, i have around three of these covers in brand new condition.

The most sensitive part is the LCD display ribbion, DO NOT remove it with force. and use a less sharp item, (such as a toothpick) to remove the cable from its socket. I have learnt the hardway and i used a jewerly screwdriver to remove the ribbion cable, damaging the circuits on the ribbion. and awaiting a new screen.

Have fun,
Whitemoo.

I have bought a black O2 case incl. black keypad from ebay off a Hong Kong seller. Was about 14 Euro incl. shipment.
Good quality, fits really great, just like the original case.
Unfortunately like all(?) Magician cases it is painted on plastic (except battery lid) and the paint wears off at the corners after a time.

However changing the case is not for the faint hearted... It took me all in all about 1 hour, and its a quite complicated process.
Try to find someone who did it already.

What did you got on your screen when you used a jewelry screwdriver? I just used a screwdriver, only the round sside of it to let it come out of the connector. But mine mda doesn't works now anymore, actually i dont get any sign of the screen. Is my screen death now also? It only shows some tiny scanlines and that;s it. Someone can help?
